As Ambassador, I have been approached by a micronation, and now it is my is my sad duty to inform the Government and People of Talossa, that on the topics of micronations, there seems to be a micronational crisis brewing!
The Principality of New Texas, The Grand Duchy of Elsanor, The Dominion of British West Florida and the Republic of Bitovia are now all at WAR! It seems to be the beginning of a First World War between Micro nations! Read:
"http://www.reliableinformationsystems.com/bwf/forum/read.php?5,3060" Can't seem to get that 5,3060 into the link... why?
Therefor, I am still for opening some limited discussions with micro nations, while not forming any formal allegiances or treaties, but to perhaps shed more light on our nation to others - whom then might want to join us.
Kind regards,
Tony Weckström Royal Ambassador

And this "war" affects us how?
One more time, Talossan Law prohibits dealing with micronations. We are a nation, we don't really care what micronations do.

I wonder what a "micronational war" consists of? Hacking each others web sites?

Well, Dear Sir, like it or not, when you look up micronations under search engines, Talossa will be named as a micronation. Even WIKIPEDIA names Talossa, not as one, but as two micronations! See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TalossaAnd this "war" affects us how? One more time, Talossan Law prohibits dealing with micronations. We are a nation, we don't really care what micronations do.

That's how other people think of us. Frankly, I don't really care how other people classify the Kingdom. We are a nation, not a micronation. Either side can debate this until both are blue in the face. But the bottom line is: We're right, and they're wrong; the Kingdom of Talossa is a nation. T Dub, what is YOUR personal opinion? Is the Kingdom of Talossa a nation or not?

My personal opinion with my diplomatic hat on, is; as long as this administration tells me we are a nation, we are a nation. IF the time comes, that we wish to consider ourselves a micronation, then I will support that too. My loyalty shall lie with my King and my Government. I've read the posts there and, honestly, I'm not gonna take that seriously. Talossa doesn't deserve that.

How can these micronations possibly have a "war"? What are they going to do? Speak in caps to each other?

Tony, while your zeal is certainly nice, you have to bear in mind that you are a representative of the government and beholden to the law, and we have statutes that prohibit relations with any "micronations". While schools of thought have differed over the years, and probably still do, the current position of our country and our administration is that we are a nation, not a micronation. The squabblings of these groups are not our concern.

Sir, I have followed our laws, and not had any official contact with these micronations. I was merely contacted by email, and the only thing I replied was " I will check on this " - that is hardly official communication - I'd rather consider that a politeness to respond.. The law states: "The Ziu stipulates by statute that the Government of Talossa will have no relations with any micronation in any form;", in the Semi-Permeable Wall Act. So while you might, as a private individual, reply and speak to them ("The Ziu stipulates that no part of this Act is intended to limit the free speech and assembly rights of or discriminate against any and all Talossan citizens to privately associate with any individual of their own choosing, including citizens of other micronations."), officially your only lawful act can be to inform them that Talossa does not wish them ill, but does not wish to enter into any relations with them.
Or at least, that is my interpretation of the law. If you are uncertain what to do, I imagine you can always kick it up to your superior, Ministreu Holdorf, and ask her.

As the law now stands, I have no intentions of replying anything else back other than " we cannot enter into any agreements, talks, negotiations, official, unofficial, in any way or form " ...
hopefully that is acceptable to all...
