WHEREAS, the proper, Organic title of the uppermost Justice of the Uppermost Court is "Senior Justice"; and
WHEREAS, this is a nice peculiarity that sets us aside from the differently-named position in our Big Neighbor's judiciary; and
WHEREAS, I have said in the past that this difference is not just philosophical, as the two positions are filled differently; and also:
WHEREAS, the present Senior Justice has an illegal wig; and also:
WHEREAS, incidentally, the present system of shipping items of rank through the King might be unwieldy if, for instance, both the former and the new incumbent live in Europe; so
THEREFORE, El Lexhatx F.39 is amended to read: Ureu q'estadra sa,
Lüc da Schir (Senator-BE)

This is a personal attack on me and I demand this senator be arrested.

Sadly, no one can arrest since the Zuavs do not do that anymore. I don't think Talossa has citizen's arrest laws, does it?

A question as the fresh blood in the Ziu: do folks have these tokens in their actual possession, and do they truly actually mail them off to their successors? I'm just imagining a shipment all the way to New Zealand for the Seneschal and how costly that would get if it then had to be shipped to Italy.

We don't have a wig, although the current Senior Justice does have a personal one, and I don't know about a SoS stamp, but somehow I'm sure I've seen a picture of one long ago.
We do have a Chain of Office since about a year, and I'm damn proud to have been the only MZ to vote against that waste of money. I assume it has been handed over to Miestrâ but I don't think we've seen any evidence of that.
We had another Chain of office which was actually only in use for one Seneschal and was made (and lost) in 2013.

Funny story - apparently it's still at Ian Plätschisch's parents' house and the stars have never aligned for it to be mailed to New Zealand. I would honestly prefer that the law be changed to swap the Chain of Office to the King in return for the Sash of the Republic, which would be much easier to mail whenever the office changes hands.

At the risk of sounding stupid or callous; how much more complicated is it than "put it in a box then put the box in the mail"?

I would honestly prefer that the law be changed to swap the Chain of Office to the King in return for the Sash of the Republic, which would be much easier to mail whenever the office changes hands. I’ve in fact had it with me at college since October: Dien never told me how to ship it. I had, in fact, on multiple occasions attempted to arrange shipment. I got multiple quotes and found the cheapest option, and then included that price in the budget while I was finance minister. I told you which box to put it in (a flat rate box), and offered to assist with any customs forms. Alternatively, I offered for you to ship it to me and in turn I would send it on to New Zealand. I thought you were going to pick it up from your parents' house at one point, then contacted you afterwards and found out that you hadn't. And as the final few weeks of the last administration unfolded, the idea turned to perhaps having the chain be shipped to the King with the sash sent to New Zealand. At this point is when I dropped off the map, sure, but this isn't on me at all. I don't necessarily appreciate being attacked smeared in absentia.

Sorry Dien for making it sound like you did less work than you did. We were in fact making preparations to send it to New Zealand. However, then I was told maybe we should give it to the King instead and never heard anything definite.
