Thank you to the citizens of Benito that voted Peculiar Nationalist in the provincial elections. The party has been awarded two seats that require filling in this province's legislature. This is a call for Benitians that wish to serve their province by being seated for the PNP to come forward and fill those seats.
For this upcoming session, the party policy on provincial matters will be:
* No whip for provincial matters. The party will not make any demands on provincial representatives to vote one way or the other. We trust that the local representatives know what is best for their province and the party will be taking a stance of "trust the guy in the room".
* No requirement to follow national party policy within the province on provincial business. Any local representative seated for the PNP will not simply be a "local branch manager". You will not be required to operate within the province with the exact same policies as if you were a national level candidate.
* No requirement to support the national level party with its business as a coalition governing partner. Provincial wings of the PNP may act autonomously and are free to take opposition roles within their provinces.
The PNP are taking the stance that local communities know what is best for local communities. PNP representatives within those local communities will be free to act in whatever way they believe is best for their local community. That being said, candidates taking PNP seats should be subscribers to the ideology of peculiarism, believe that Talossa should be a constitutional monarchy and generally support progressive policies.
If you feel that you would be a good representative and activist for your province, agree with the central tenets of the Peculiar Nationalist Party and wish to serve your community in the local assembly, then please get in touch to express your interest in helping to form a local wing of the party and be seated for the PNP.
Many thanks!
Eddie.
