Just a question as to whether we're all officially MCs now? Because I've got a UC Justice to nominate "The Cosâ convenes on the first day of the month after general elections, to coincide with the publication of the first Clark." Unfortunately, the technical legal answer, going by the above, is no. We are not officially MC's until January 1st. I think we can still submit Bills to the Hopper and request them to be Clarked though. I think that's how it's always been in the past, but then ORG.IX.2 says "Any Member of the Cosă, or a Senator, or the King, or the Secretary of State, shall have the right to submit legislative proposals, and bills to the Secretary of State for consideration by the Ziu according to the procedures specified in this article, and specified by law." So, if MC's don't become MC's until the first day of the first Clark, does that mean that the first Clark can never contain Bills from incoming MCs and can only ever contain Bills from the Senate or those submitted by the SoS or the Crown? |

Just a question as to whether we're all officially MCs now? Because I've got a UC Justice to nominate I haven't looked at the law now, but so far we've always allowed MCs to submit bills once they've been assigned seats (which to me is when the party leader has posted here, provided it's within the legal limits). For now let's say that's still the case. |

The New Witt will be in use for official business as soon as the Government and the Chancery agree to make the switch; at the moment we want that to happen once 50 citizens have signed up for New Witt, and we're at 46 so far. (The Government may revise this target in the New Year once the Distáin gets back from holiday.)

Can I ask whether there is any time limit for the ZPT to assign their seats? Is there a possibility that they could be held open for the rest of this Cosa?
I kind of hope that cxhn. Ventrútx is actively abstaining, like Sinn Féin do from the Westminster parliament, rather than just throwing 12.5% of the votes down the toilet out of pique or apathy.

The deadline is the end of the first Clark. After that the seats are forfeited.
(I think the King then gets to fill the seats?)
