This will, without doubt, even if not intended, lead nowhere good. To hell with what the whipper snapper thinks, he's just in the door. Nah, nah, nah... you have no right telling ME how any of this works, don't you know I have years on YOU! This proposal sucks, come back when you've grown up. So...exactly what I've already seen numerous times? And you see that already existing issue growing out of something that would actually put the newest on a more equal footing with the oldest in one area?

As far as voting goes, everybody is on an equal footing right now. Your vote has as much power as, who's the longest around here?, dunno, say Lord Q's vote. As soon as we institutionalize terms of tenure into the voting system we are just opening ourselves up for years of debate on, well, our years. Let's just not.

I'll also add that such a policy as Eric proposed might actually fall foul of the Second Covenant of Rights and Freedoms (which can be amended, of course, but still another possible hurdle worth mentioning). It would technically be an affirmative action scheme, which are currently Inorganic.

Makes me realize that Peculiarism and Derivitism aren't two sides of one coin. Rather, Peculiarism and Derivitism are two different coins each with sides of their own. Yes, and this is great for political diversity. Look no further than your own United Kingdom, where parties and factions thereof are at least on a three axis diagram (economy, society and Brexit).
Now Talossa could arguably have a viable three axis diagram as well: peculiarism/derivativism, monarchism/repubicanism, and for example strict/loose immigration.

Brexit is just a temporary situation, though. But, yeah, I get you. Uncannily accurate prediction. The manifesto is still being polished, but the Peculiar Nationalists will be running on a platform of Peculiarist ideology, a civic nationalist view (with heavy sympathy to Cybercitzship) on immigration policy (and citizenship status in general), and a Peculiar marrying of monarchism and republicanism.

I'm quite saddened by the NPW's stances. I had high hopes when a new Peculiarist party was announced. I thought I would end up landing with and voting for this party. I just can't come anywhere close to supporting some of these ideas though. Makes me realize that Peculiarism and Derivitism aren't two sides of one coin. Rather, Peculiarism and Derivitism are two different coins each with sides of their own. I will note that we use a formal consensus model of governance for the party, so an influence like yours could be a very moderating effect on such things. But I see (sorry, in rehearsal so am just now catching up with where this thread runs) you're planning another Peculiarist party, which is awesomesauce.

It does appear from this graphic and the previous one that the NPW is out to ruin other people's fun.

But stop with the defamation about how we're obviously out to wreck Talossa, ruin other people's fun, etc. It's all ad hominem and beneath you, Ian.
When discussing policy "well I like it" isn't really a policy defense.

I definitely never said the NPW is out to wreck Talossa. I also never said the NPW is out to ruin other people's fun, either; only that I thought your campaign posters gave off that impression. I think this is a relevant thing to bring up; even though I obviously don't think you want to ruin people's fun, voters should consider which party is most passionate about keeping the parts of Talossan that they value. I don't know why you are accusing me of making ad hominem attacks, as I have brought several policy arguments.

Apologies. I did not mean to insinuate that you'd brought no policy arguments. Your generally above board discussion style is why I was so shocked by the accusation that we're trying to ruin other people's fun. Because that's simple ad hominem, and, as I said, not your style.

Sorry for appearing to accuse you of that, because I was not trying to. I meant that the posters gave off that kind of vibe (and even then, I was half making an attempt at comedy), not that you actually meant to convey it.
