[STUFF] Website transfer / New Minister

I am extremely pleased to announce that as of today, Talossan time, our national webspace once more belongs to us.

talossa.com is hosted, and the domain name registered, by DoRoyal Servers, paid for out of our own state budget. Additional domain names (eg kingdomoftalossa.net) are still owned by the King, although the Government is now helping him administer these.

The next step will be a thorough rearrangement of the website, moving easily-outdated data onto the Wiki; and moving a lot of older data from the old kot.net site onto talossa.com.

I have made the decision that, to do this, we need new personnel in the STUFF ministry. Simply put, Sevastáin Pinátsch has been snowed under with extra-Talossan activity to a point where he can't be of much help with this.

Therefore, I have decided to relieve cxhn. Pinátsch of his duties as Minister of STUFF, with my very warmest thanks for helping fix a problem which has dragged Talossa down over the last five years. In fact, I would like to hereby recommend to King John that cxhn. Pinátsch get some kind of official reward for his mighty feats of Talossanity in this regard. I would hereby like to recommend to the King that Sevastáin Pinátsch be awarded the Medal of Cincinnatus, under El Lexhátx H.19, "in recognition for acts of extraordinary Talossanicity in the face of opposition".

As the new Minister of STUFF, I nominate Senator Ian Plätschisch .

Ha ha, how could I have forgotten? This also means that the Chancery under Glüc da Dhi can now move forward, in consultation with STUFF staff, in implementing Title J of El Lexhatx as amended by 53RZ17. I refer, of course, to setting up the New Wittenberg.

It's just as well as I can no longer participate in any government business because I am locked out of Facebook. I'd hoped to be back in Canada by now, and in attempting to login, FB is convinced I am an imposter. It now demands that I upload official photo ID, which I will not do.

Good luck on the next leg of the website transition. Perhaps the government might consider getting off of Facebook, and hosting Cabinet on our own platform.

Good to have you back, va amic.

Of course the Cabinet historically had our own platform, but Facebook seemed more convenient and - for me, the decisive factor - offers push-notifications so that less-active members can be jolted back into action.
