I attempted to translate the Wailers' song "I Shot the Sheriff" into Talossan. In my opinion, it didn't require as much language-murdering as I thought it would, but that's probably because there isn't a fixed number of syllables per line.
Téu t'ðat el vescunt Mas non téu tidat el distain Téu t'ðatel vescunt Mas non téu tidat el distain
In la cità natal d' mhe Provent à lastarh-me "Volent te detainarh," zirent Téu aucidat 'n distain, pensent Téu preindat 'n vida, pensent Zíu!

A long time ago,(2012 in fact), I attempted to translate the lyrics of Agnostic Front's song "Power" into Talossan. This was Hooligan's reply: I have never heard of this song, but let's see what we have here:
Pevarh! = Power
Esteir solatind! = Anti-social being (?) - if there's room in your meter for it, you might want an article up front: 'N esteir solatind = an anti-social being. If there's not, and you're even having trouble fitting this to meter, a simple "'N solatind" is all you really need. Oh wait -- maybe the lyric is about being anti-social? As in, "acting in an anti-social manner"? If so, then you would want to change it completely, to something like veþavind solatindmint (behaving anti-social'ly) or veþavind com'iens solatind (behaving like an anti-social [person]).
Zischarxh tguman = Human discharge (?) - again, if there's room for it, an article would be good here; I'm not really sure if that's the lyric, though. Human discharge??
'N reitxim fascistà = A fascist regime
Noi sint kämpfind in la stradas = We are fighting in the streets: This line should be Noi kämpfent in las stradas
Atentind estash liverat = Trying to be free: This line should be Atentind àð estarh liverats. However, it doesn't make sense to "try to be" something. You would probably want "trying to become" (atentind à zeviénarh) or "trying to remain" (atentind à restarh).
Os zirent el reitxim salvarha noi = They say the regime will save us: This line should be Si zirent q'el reitxhim noi salvarha. I suggested here that the subject pronoun "si" is the general, universal, nameless "they", while "os" refers to a group of specific people (or things) who could be singled out. For example, "they say all things must end" is a place for "si", while "they went to the airport" is a place for "os". However, you may choose to go with "os" for this lyric, since it apparently is meant to convey that there is some group that says the regime will save us, but that group is not universal, in that the singer likely would not say so.
Ça isch solatind es vand tombarh = It is anti-social and going to fall: This line should be Ça isch solatind es va tombarh (or "...es tombarha"). You could also use C'e for "Ça isch", which would emphasise the dehumanity of the regime.

I think I've been pretty good about preserving articles.
