I would like to remind the Honourable Minister that ID cards were in fact made during the 49th Cosa (and the templates are still available). Does this constitute the serious interest necessary for the Minister to look into making another run of them?

I would not categorize the existence of a template as real interest in ID cards. I have no information or knowledge about the previous ID card programs and wonder aloud if this is such a pressing issue why it is that the previous 3 or 4 governments did nothing that I am aware of. I would kindly remind the author of this question that I experienced an extended absence so there are gaps in my knowledge of what has occurred. Instead of asking questions, perhaps he could have given me information so that I can respond knowledgeably instead of piecemeal. In any event, at this point in my time in office this issue is not on my radar. I have nothing more to say on the matter at this time and yield the floor.
