It is my pleasure to open call for bills of the May 2019 Clark. Bills can be posted here (please include a link to the hopper thread) or submitted directly using the database. Eventually, the clark can be viewed in real time here: www.talossa.ca/files/cosa_vote_result.php?cosa=53&clark=1 (for the votes) and here: www.talossa.ca/files/clark.php?cosa=53&clark=1 (for the bills ) It is NOT too late to submit bills, of course, as you have OFFICIALLY until the morning of the 30th of this month, provided your bills have been in the Hopper before end of business day the 26th, of course. I will make the Clark on May 1st's morning and bills submitted up to a few hours before that will probably also be taken. PLEASE note that in order to support a bill, you need to: 1 ) Be a Senator, the Secretary of State or the King or 2 ) Have been nominated as a Cosa Member for the upcoming Clark BEFORE the 26th, To vote on the Clark, you will once again have 2 options: 1 ) You will be able to vote in the Clark thread (which will be created later on the 1st of May), as usual. I will enter your votes in the DB. 2 ) You will be able to vote directly in the database, using your usernumber and DB password (which you can retrieve at: www.talossa.ca/files/login.php using the PSC of the election) or by login via Facebook (which requires manual activation on my part). Back in business! Wooo! I'd like to Clark:
Additionally, just a heads up: the "propose a bill" page doesn't let me add bills to the First Clark (only the second one), even though the "official" deadline for submitting bills isn't over for almost another whole day in TST.

Can I ask S:reu Grischün how this bill squares with the incoming Government's stated intent to set up a brand new "Witt-XIII"?

Can I ask S:reu Grischün how this bill squares with the incoming Government's stated intent to set up a brand new "Witt-XIII"? It wouldn't prevent the government from setting up a new Witt, if that's what you're asking. This bill makes no reference to what particular version of Wittenberg it applies to or to where that Witt would be hosted, etc.; just that a nationalized Witt shall exist. The effects of passing this bill: This bill would take effect on this current incarnation of Witt if a new Witt doesn't happen, but those effects would transfer to a new Witt if implemented. Your new Witt-XIII (and any other future Witts) would be administered and moderated by various entities, namely; provincial executives in the provinces, speakers of the houses in parliament, household members in the households, court officials in the courts, et al. Basically, each board would govern and police itself free from influence of a private individual. There wouldn't necessarily be a board-wide Wittiquette to enforce, rather each board can set it's own policies. The Crown would hold ownership in a ceremonial fashion only with no control over executive function or rule enforcement. Also, the bill puts into law that nobody can be banned from the entirety of Witt in one sweep unless the courts ordered it to happen. Finally, the bill would make the UC the final court of decision and appeal.
