What is your name? My name is Jeffrey Lees, though my Talossan name has yet to be determined.
What is your request? If it so please the Squirrel King of Arms, I request the assistance of the College in designing and obtaining arms for myself and my lawful heirs.
What is your favorite color? Black
I know that I am but a new citizen, and I have yet to earn the arms I am requesting, but I am eager and willing to work towards the betterment of Talossa and its people and in the service of its' government and leaders. I will certainly understand if my request should be denied at this time.

It's never been our practice to restrict Arms to people who have "earned" them. Talossan citizens are by default considered "gentle"; any Talossan citizen may petition for arms.

I hope that this is the correct forum in which to discuss arms with you, my friend! I know that many Talossans, from the looks of the arms that are in the database, have opted for a "serious" approach to the creation and construction of their respective coats, but I was hoping for a more lighthearted sort of a thing for myself. I had never really given much thought to making such a design for myself before, so my ideas are pretty 'rough around the edges'. I do know that I would like the colors to be white and red, on a horizontally bisected field. I was also wondering what animals are technically available to be included on ones arms? I know that this will sound absurd, I am, in fact, hoping that it does, but is there a way to use a weasel? I quite like the idea of a weasel standing victorious over a serpent. I like that idea, because I believe wholeheartedly in the power of humor and comedy to triumph over evil. After all, nothing deflates the power of monsters quite like laughter. |

Weasels are heraldic symbols used in other jurisdictions so I dont see a problem with that. We already have a badger. Serpents we already have. Will draw up the design wjich has come to my mind after reading your post and then ask your opinion. |
