What is this and why is it necessary?
Due to recent changes in the national electoral rules, provinces can now add a brief text to the ballot to explain the provincial electoral system. We've decided that the text should also contain a list of provincial parties, to ensure that we properly represent parties (like NPW) who aren't registered nationally.
What do I need to do? If you are: please reply to this post indicating: - the name of the provincial leader you want to be listed on the ballot (doesn't technically have to be a Benitian, but I expect this will be the person that will be tasked with assigning the seats);
- the full name of your party (or your own name if you plan to run as an independent);
- an optional acronym.
What happens if I don't register?
Parties who don't register before Balloting Day aren't precluded from getting seats, however they won't be listed on the ballot.
Note that, by precedent, votes for party leaders are counted as votes for that party. This could be construed to mean that unregistered independents can't get seats - because nobody knew you were a "party" before the election - but all such decisions will be taken by Arvitieir Istefan Perþonest after the elections.

I note I strongly recommend both registering your party, and for voting by party name instead of by leader name (if you're voting for a party rather than an independent). You do not want to rely on the judgment of the Arvitieir Prima to give a vote its intended effect; there was a definite case last provincial election that could have supported a lawsuit if someone had wanted to pursue one.
I also note there was also a major discussion in the Electoral Commission last national Senate election about whether a vote managed to meet the technical standards necessary to be counted, which all members of the Commission were unhappy to have to deal with. Follow instructions without pushing their boundaries, please. It makes sure your vote is counted correctly, and it avoids making grief for people who have to discern the election results.

Well I haven’t found any Benitian to join AMP, so I guess I’ll have to register without one. Awakening and Magnifying Passion (AMP) Leader: Ian Plätschisch

As today is Balloting Day, the registration period is over.
