On the history page on the wiki Talossan history is divided in a number of "era"s. The current era which is called the modern era is by far the longest, starting in 2007. However, it is clear to me that with reunision we've seen the start of a new era. We can call this the new modern era, or maybe later it will become the reunision era or something like that, but what to do then with the period between 2007 and 2012? We cannot really call it the modern era anymore. Any suggestions for the period starting with the election of John Woolley and ending with reunision? The beer era? (beer was introduced as currency in 2006 and abolished in 2014, I think) The second quiet era? The split era? The divided era? The RUMP era?

Eras of Talossan history as I see it:
Prehistory to 1979: The Mists of Time
Foundation to the Cone Wars: 26 Dec 1979 to November 1980 at which point by Ben's own admission, Talossa had become 'a community'.
December 1980 through the first PM in 1981
1981-1985: between the first PM and the coming of democracy that sticks
1985-1995: the Golden Age of pre-Cybercit Talossa - JJ's TNP flourishing takes place as does the tenure of Davron. The Mugrads occupy the last few years.
1995-spring 2004: I do not end things with this era at 1 June. The Split/Republic was merely a natural consequence of Ben's vendetta against Kane Gruber.
Spring 2004-Aug 2005: The last throes of Talossa with Ben.
Aug 2005-20 April 2012: No more Ben. The demise of the CLP brings to an end the old Talossan political order. The ascent of the RUMP brings on the next Talossan political order.
20 April 2012 to present: Reunision which brings the anti-monarchial political faction and the completion of modern Talossan politics. The return of the Republic-community signals the healing of the breach suffered in 2004.

The foundation of Talossa, Talossa's going online, and the Vendetta against Gruber are the central events of Talossan history. The Great Event, however, is the death of Ben's mother in 1979 which is thought of by many who knew Ben as the central emotional-development event of his life, and a direct catalyst to Talossa's existence.

The "Beer Era" seems a bit too silly to fit in with the names of all of the other eras.

We can call this the new modern era, or maybe later it will become the reunision era or something like that, but what to do then with the period between 2007 and 2012? On the model of Greece, I call it the Era of the National Schism.

Beer - 4 National Schism - 4 Split - 1
I will remove the poll and add a new one with only the two most popular options.

I think "National Schism" is misleading and inaccurate because the schism began in 2004, not 2007.
