...I'd like to congratulate my fellow colleagues from Atatürk, Florencia and Vuode, that have successfully been returned to this august place. Congratulations in particular to Senator Valcadac'h, who returns to the Senate after 13 years.
That said, before and unless other colleagues want to join in with additional welcoming thoughts, I'd like to point out we need to elect a Mençei. Does the Senator from Maricopa wish to stand again for the office?

First off, I appreciate the Senator from Benito making this thread, and I would also like congratulate my fellow colleagues from Atatürk, Florencia, Vuode, and Fiôvâ.
I've been nominated for Mençei several times over the last few Cosa terms, and I have typically turned all the nominations down save for that last one, where I finally accepted the honor of being nominated and was in turn elected as such. It has been a pleasure (I think) serving as the presiding officer of this body over the last several months, and I continue to be humbled by the confidence my colleagues had in me when they elected me. But I will likely be elected President of a certain political party at some point in the near future, my focus will likely be elsewhere. Thus, I will not be standing for reelection as Mençei for the 50th Cosa term.
As the outgoing Mençei, I'd like to set a precedent of facilitating the nomination and election process for my successor, barring any objections. Therefore, I'd now like to open the floor to any nominations from this body.

I wish somebody would actually use the tagging functions, I happened to stumble upon this thread by pure chance (I was bored and did not wish to continue my studies for the time being).
I, too, extend a hearty welcome to every newcomers, renewedcomers, and remainers. May your servitude to your provinces be successful! A thanks, too, to the outgoing Mençei and my esteemed colleague, Senator Tresplet, for his gracious service to the Senäts. And now to Lüc’s little ambush, nominating me to take the aforementioned Senator’s place: if there should be no other Senator willing to serve, I am ready to step in. I appreciate, and accept, the surprising nomination.

I thank the Senator from Maritiimi-Maxhestic for his kind words.
I'll hold open nominations and discussion for the next 48 hours or so, and then we'll move into a vote.

As I have said elsewhere, it's good to be back, particularly with Senator Anglatzarâ.

I'll hold open nominations and discussion for the next 48 hours or so, and then we'll move into a vote. Seeing no further nominations, I hereby close nominations. Furthermore, I move that the Senator from Maritiimi-Maxhestic, Magniloqueu Épiqeu da Lhiun, be elected Mençei for the 50th Cosa term by unanimous consent. If no objections are heard within 24 hours, it is thereby ordered. Congratulations, Senator.

Seeing as there are no objections to my colleague’s motion, I wish to thank those who expressed their support. And a thank you from the Senäts to the outgoing Mençei. I will commence a discussion thread about the Clark shortly.
