Email sent this evening! One of you must want to give Glüc a run for his money! ;-)
Why am I getting this email (again)? You are receiving this email because you are a citizen of the Sovereign Province of Cézembre, and we hope that you will consider becoming a candidate in the forthcoling election for our provincial governor, the Sénéchal. The election itself will be held from the 6th to 20th April, and you will receive information on how to vote in a future message.
Any citizen of Cézembre may nominate him or herself as a candidate up to 10.59pm CEST on 6th April This email will explain how to go about it. A contested election will be fun, and will show those other lesser provinces what a real Talossan province looks like. Your conducting office is not above begging.
What does the Sénéchal do? According to the provincial constitution, the Sénéchal is responsible for chairing the provincial legislature, (l'Etats), organising our provincial elections, and keeping citizens informed about what's going on in Cézembre.
How do I become a candidate? You can reply to this email, or you can send a personal message to Inxheneu Crovâ (http://talossa.proboards.com/user/654) via Wittenberg . You can also publicly declare yourself a candidate on the Cézembre provincial forum (http://talossa.proboards.com/board/8/zembre). As a candidate you may choose to appoint a representative to act as an election observer. Appointing a representative is not mandatory, but if you choose to do so he or she cannot also be a candidate for Sénéchal.
Has anyone stepped forward already? At the moment we have only one declared candidate, and at least one more will allow us to make a race of it. Do it for Cezembre!
Yours faithfully, Inxheneu Crovâ Conducting Officer

Just to confirm, because I said it before the nomination period opened: I am running for Sénéchal. However, I also do agree with Inxheneu, some opposition would be good. There are multiple good potential Sénéchals out there, and voters should have a choice. Also, I think our province should get some more experience with running elections before we start electing our own Senator as well. I can honestly say that if that means I'm not elected I would only see that as a sign of a healthy province with a functioning democracy.
