Esteemed Maritiimi-Maxhestians,
dear friends,
beloved frenemies,
respected in-betweens and unknown-ones,
my name is Magniloqueu Épiqeu Ac'hlerglünä da Lhiun (if that is a mouthful; I don't blame you, but learn Talossan!), or “Epic” for short. I have been your Senator for the last three Cosă, and I wish to remind you of my intention to run for the Office of Senator of the Province of Maritiimi-Maxhestic. Phew, those are a lot of “of”s... Maybe this will work:
I wish to run for Maritiimi-Maxhestic Province's Senator's Office Never mind that, you get what I am saying...
Why should you choose me? Well, during my time as a Senator, I assumed the tradition that my predecessor Sir Mick Preston formed of directly asking you publicly for your opinions on the on-going Clark, before voting thereupon.
I am sure you will see that I have, many a time, changed my opinion to accommodate my fellow comprovinciates. (Yes, that was a neologism, I think...)
Speaking of neologisms, I have recently used “eccentric and pugnacious demeanour” to describe Damă Miestrâ Schivâ's behaviour in Talossan politics. Now, isn't that just neat? I have a way with words, and I can write bills, some of which thankfully have become successfully law! Don't you just feel safe and snug with me as your Senator?
I am particularly proud of the translation of El Lexhatx, which I have begun — something the Ministry of Culture has determined to be a goal of theirs. It has passed into law, and I am working on bits and parts of it, and will introduce bills in the next Cosă to continue and complete the translation.
In terms of Monarchy:
While I see that a Monarch is a useful and strong figure in Talossa, who is the one constant of this Kingdom — especially considering the fast-changing Governments: six months is not a long time for any Government to resume work and succeed therein completely — I will advocate that the Monarch be not almost completely detached from Talossa.
If the Government is the brain of the Kingdom, then the Monarch is her heart. And if I were a doctor, I would attest a cardiac arrest to this Kingdom; something HAS to change, the King must either appoint a regent or abdicate if he is not willing, or uneager to be here and do the job which is bestowed upon him Organically.
Vote Magniloqueu Épiqeu Ac'herlglünä da Lhiun in the General Elections as Senator to Maritiimi-Maxhestic! Let the Lion roar for your opinions in the Senate!
