Citizens of Fiova,
There's an election coming up, and I'd very much like to have your vote. I'm told it could be the most important election in history: the election of Fiova's Senator for the next term. I believe I'm the right individual for this job; I have a pretty nice record to brag about (former Seneschal of the Republic, currently-though-hopefully-not-for-much-longer Seneschal of this glorious nation, a long serving member of the Cosa, and former Capitan of this very fine province), but I want to talk primarily about what I believe in.
I'm a republican, but unlike a lot of republicans I do quite like the trappings of a monarchy. This leads me to the peculiar political position of wanting an empty-throne monarchy with an elected Council of Regency.
I'm also a liberal, both within and outside of Talossa. I have spent years of my life outside of Talossa campaigning for privacy, for free speech and expression, and the protection of autonomous life choices against a state that would decide on life choices for you. My work in Talossa is no different: I've advocated provincial activity and autonomy on countless occasions in the Cosa, and was the proud author of the Communications Privacy Act which for some reason is only now being viewed as a controversial piece of legislation.
These are all things I think are hugely important for a province which calls itself the FREE province of Fiova. I think they're important too, so much so that I set up a party dedicated to the protection of these liberal values and which now forms a caucus in a party which I forged together with Miestra based on democratic liberal principles of self-government, drastic reform, individual freedom and privacy. I've been a pretty good legislator, in my view, and I think even my political opponents have complimented me on my legislation from time to time even if they don't agree with it!
If you want this kind of person to represent you in the Senate, then VOTE XHERALTESCU IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION, YO!
