FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTRY ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with great pride that I announce the creation of Talossa’s new Bureau of Humanitarian Aid and International Development (BHAID). This is Talossa’s second humanitarian aid organization building on the excellent and important work of TalossAid.

For our inaugural fundraising drive we have decided to focus on assistance for refugees and internally displaced persons. Europe and the Near East, in particular, are experiencing the largest episode of population displacement since World War II. Anyone who has been familiar with recent global news reports is aware of the crisis as thousands find the dangerous depths of the Mediterranean Sea safer than the firm soil of former homelands. With your help and grace Talossa can make a difference.

You can contribute via IndieGogo using your credit/debit card, paypal or ApplePay. Our goal is $500. At the conclusion of this fundraising drive the Bureau’s Board of Governors will convene to determine the organization to be funded. Ultimately the Board's funding proposal will be reviewed, and if satisfactory, approved by the Ziu.

Now that we are nearing the final hours of BHAID's fundraising campaign it will soon come to BHAID's Board of Governors to convene.

BHAID Board of Governors are: Ian Plätschisch, Dr. Prithvi Singh Ravish, Françal Ian Lux, Éovart Xhorxh and Gaglhen Fortaleça

Pursuant to the enacting statute of the BHAID, the Board of Governors makes determinations on organizational financing (i.e. the fun part.)

The host ministry stands ready to assist in any way necessary upon request.

The Ministry is delighted to announce the transfer of all donations to the Burgermeister for Inland Revenue for deposit into the Kingdom's Treasury. I would also implore members of the Board to begin work on determining organizational funding and on drafting a funding proposal for approval by the Ziu (probably in the next Cosa term now). The Ministry has also drafted its first financial disclosure for the BHAID available on the Bureau's website: bhaid.wordpress.com/financial-disclosures/

I am saddened to report that Dr. Ravish is unable to continue to serve as BHAID Administrator. I will be serving as Acting Administrator until a replacement can be found.
