Can I just ask: does this Convention set policy? Because I think we need to take the debate we've been having on FB, re: a programme of constitutional reform, into the formal and public arena. I don't believe there is anything prohibiting the Convention from setting policy; per our constitution, our internal policy decisions are decided by open, simple majority votes with a three-day voting window once a vote has been called. In the past, votes on policy for the LibCons were akin to simple resolutions, and voted on our off-Witt forum. I can't remember if we've voted on resolutions or policy in Convention before, but as far as I know it would be fine.

The off-Witt forum doesn't seem to have been extended to the FreeDems. So can we raise these policies on the Facebook group?

Our humble leader has now opened a new offsite forum for the Free Democrats, where we are beginning an in-depth, public discussion on party policy. All FreeDems from the Convention should swing by and make themselves known!

Dien, could you collate all the constitutional amendments posted here and post them in a thread on our new forum where we can cast a vote on each one? We should also push for more people to register their interest in standing for party posts. We can then conduct the election.

We'll probably need to conduct the election within the Convention thread per the Constitution, however, I can make a separate thread here in Maricopa to make it easier to follow the nominations if that works.
