I first wanted to make a response at the ZRT convention, but then I thought it would probably to publicly announce this there, since its really the people of Cézembre that deserve to know first. So, since I have been asked some questions about this: No, I do not currently intend to run for a third term as Senator.
Id like to think that during the time I represented you I have contributed to Talossa, I have participated in discussions on important proposals and Ive proposed quite a bit of legislation, including some important reforms myself as well. I can also proudly say that I have never missed a clark vote so far. However, as you may have noticed, my activity in Talossa has decreased and this has also affected my results as a Senator. This makes me believe it would make sense for someone else to take over. Further, I already decided I would take a break from national politics. A position as Senator doesnt really match with that.
I am seldom 100% sure of something I say, so I may still change my mind, but that would only happen if there are no other candidates running that I can support and one of the reasons Im saying this is to give Cézembreans who might consider running some extra motivation. I can easily think of 6-7 Cézembreans who would make good senators, so Im confident I will not have to retract this statement. I may run again someday when the circumstances are good, but for now this means the following three clarks will be my last. Good luck to anyone who wants to run for the position next term. Im confident that the representation of this province will be in good hands.
