The Order of the Purple Tongue (in concert with the CÚG) announces the creation of the Liga da Cunfavulaziun Talossan (LiCT) The LiCT (Talossan Conversation League) is to be a service provided by certain members of the UrGP and the CÚG.
At this point, it's only me, but I'm hopeful that we'll be able to expand in the future. (i.e., after I've got a few people somewhat fluent, they can take on additional people themselves.)
If you wish to better your understanding of the Talossan language, send me a PM. I'm hoping to get a few people involved with this, but I think my limit is probably three or four people, so first come, first serve. Note that you'll need either Skype or GoogleTalk for this.
Times I am generally available throughout the week:
Sunday | 17:00-24:00 | Monday | 12:00-24:00 | Tuesday | 12:00-24:00 | Wednesday | 12:00-24:00 | Thursday | 22:00-24:00 | Friday | 22:00-24:00 | Saturday | 22:00-24:00 |
(All times Talossan Time, UTC-06:00 standard and UTC-05:00 DST; n.b. that I will quite often be up past midnight, and sometimes sleep past noon, but these are times I'm guaranteed or almost guaranteed to be awake/online.)

S:r Canun, is there a reason why the acronym is "bed"?

No, not really. It just happened to spell a pronounceable word.

Feel free to PM me as well. It's hard for me to predict when I'll be online or available, but I'm interested in talking to more people in or about Talossan.

I might be willing to volunteer after a deeper-delving crash course, i.e. a chat about Talossan.

I wish this was something still. I really REALLY want to become better at Talossan but it is so hard!

I would like to join in too - but different time zones for different citizens can make it hard. And, in some cases, small babies requiring quiet whilst they sleep can cut out available time. And, in other cases, old age requiring lots of sleep and intermittent naps also cuts out available time.
But if we have a larger set of respondents, then there is a better chance of at least some of them being available at the booked times for the conversation.

A suggestion from somebody who does not have children, and is still quite green, but does have numerous cousins: DO NOT accustom the baby to quiet while sleeping — it will bring the parents hellish time, and the baby itself will have difficulties napping in trains, aeroplanes, etc. The best thing you can do, is, not accommodate the baby’s “silence needs” while sleeping, so that it gets accustomed to falling asleep even when there is noise. It is a win-win situation!

We used to say of our children when they were young and asleep that they were "brass bands" - that is, a passing brass band would not have woken them up!
