As part of Talossa, it would seem that we use Talossan Standard Time. Geographically however, Cézembre would normally be located in the Western European Timezone. Maybe even more practical would be to use Central European Time, because of our cultural connections to France, and because the easiest way top reach the island is by boat from St. Malo, which uses Central European Time as well. And then there is the theory that either because of the time machine or because of the geographical spread of Talossans across the world, we are not bound by time zones, and it is currently 20:17 pm and 1:17 am and all other times at the very same moment, or something like that. Might be useful to officially establish one of these things though, so we all know what we're talking about when we say elections start at 12 pm.

I'm for the time zone actually in use on the island, anything else would be bizarre, I think.

Cézembre is not bound by timezones - nor (despite the arbitrary focus upon our lands in North America) is Talossa.
Because one point of our territory (granted, just one point - and a very cold one at that!) can be considered to be notionally in all timezones we can declare Talossan time to be anything within the 50-hour day. Of course, we have to refer to some timezone when naming an instant, and that's why we use Talossan standard time for that... but I suggest that Talossa, being, well, different, and more universal than most - nay, all - other countries should use (for all except official notices) UTC, and name the day after the day covering the largest part of the planet. Consider today - which is Monday 8th September. That day started at 10:00 UTC on Sunday - yes, really! - there is a UTC+14 zone. The day "Monday" did not cover more that 50% of the planet until just after 22:00 UTC on Sunday - yes, Sunday. Hence from 22:01 to 24:00 (UTC) on Sunday it was Monday. Right now - which is 22:25 UTC+1 on Monday (according to my computer clock) we are approaching the last few minutes of Monday, and in 35 minutes time, at 23:00 UTC+1 = 22:00 UTC it will cease to be Monday, and become Tuesday - though my computer clock won't agree with that until an hour later, just after 24:00 UTC+1 or (to put it another way) at 00:00 UTC+1 Tuesday = 23:00 UTC Monday. So that's all completely clear, isn't it?
I think I'll have a closer look at some currency, and go and lie down...

My own preference would be Central European Time. Like Ian (A) says, it would make sense to use the time actually used on the island.
