WHEREAS the Kingdom of Talossa observes a number of public holidays, or Feschtas Püblici, when government offices are closed and private businesses are encouraged to observe these holidays; and WHEREAS the Sovereign Province of Benito doesn't have any real public holiday estabilished by law, while other provinces do; and WHEREAS well, holidays are cool, and plus they allow the Maestro to issue more proclamations, which are cool too; THEREFORE I, Lüc da Schir, the Maestro of the Sovereign Province of Benito, hereby proclaim the following:
The Sovereign Province of Benito shall observe, as its Provincial Holidays, the following dates: - Lombardi Day (Super Bowl Sunday), commemorating the football coach that the Super Bowl Trophy is named after. - Mazzini Day (March 22nd), commemorating the birthday of the Italian patriot and politician that our southern Canton is named after. This is canton Mazzini's Cantonal Holiday. - Benito Day (first Sunday after April 20th), commemorating the estabilishment of Benito province as a province of Talossa (April 20th) and the renaming of the province (April 25th). - Garibaldi Day (July 4th), commemorating the birthday of the Italian patriot and politician that our northern Canton and provincial Capital is named after. This is canton Garibaldi's Cantonal Holiday. - Provinces Day (tbd), incouraging the Benitian citizenry to be involved in Benito's provincial life.
Signed, Lüc da Schir, Maestro of Benito
