Who are we? What are we about? What message do we take to the voters? Stratagems for electoral victory!! Discuss.

We need to recruit. We need to make it clear to new citizens that the ZRT is the exciting party of change and novelty, with a democratic internal culture where everyone who wants to be a leader can be. At this point, I'd like to ask John Whelan if he's in the convention, and get him to discuss what led him to join us.

I would hope the ZRT would extend this offer AFTER the prospective has become a Citizen.

I requested that S:reu Whelan answer this question from the Minister only after his citizenship was formally announced. I understand that he sent his oath some hours ago so I expect the pieces will align soon.

I understand that he sent his oath some hours ago so I expect the pieces will align soon. Then, I expect that the answer will be made AFTER the pieces are actually aligned? Like, when the Writ of Citizenship is actually published? I understand that is the tradition that the Kingdom has followed previously.

I understand that is the tradition that the Kingdom has followed previously. Sounds like a commitment already occurred as The Minister said "get him to discuss what led him to join us" as opposed to "get him to discuss what led him to want to join us" or "...to ask to join us". No argument: it's premature to talk about the prospective's membership in the ZRT in the past tense, given that he was ineligible to join at the time the statement was made.

I beg the apologies of anyone upset; I did not know that s:reu Whelan's citizenship wasn't finished processing yet. I would also like to clarify that the ZRT certainly did not make the first move towards recruiting any prospective citizen.
However, I do not see why prospective citizens should not be free to join political parties - if they wish and without having been "broosked" - before their citizenship has been formally recognized. Given that, John is free to contribute to this convention if he so wishes, and I would thank non-members to stay out of our official threads.

Back on the topic of building the party, I honestly feel that we should continue to have national conventions for the ZRT but also to have provincial conventions as well, so that the ZRT can be seen to be working locally and nationally, and shows that we have a clear vision for both, and at the provincial conventions, each provincial branch elects its own leader. This should hopefully help both raising our profile, and also to show a greater sense of belonging in Talossa than we do currently, and hopefully, it might increase provincial activity in the progress. As this would help us nationally and in the provinces.

Why should our party name be abbreviated? If we change the name of our party to a cool and stand out name we would attract more Talossans, especially new ones. Any recommendations. We should also change our motto. I personally believe that this could make us stand out - "I want to be free, do YOU" I know I am new to the party, heck I don't even know if I have been accepted to it. But as they say, it's time to change

If this is John Whelan, then you've been accepted, says the party General Secretary. Suggestions for a new party name will be gratefully received, and voted on if they get support.

Yeah I have a few suggestions. I literally know one word in Talossan - Azul so I looked up an online dictionary and found some. - Livertà (Freedom/Liberty) or vrülast (To be set free). If someone was so generous to make a logo suiting one of these themes that would be great and I think we could really get this going.
