Valued citizen Magniloqueu Épiqeu da Lhiun has asked about Sticlas. This was going up tomorrow (as per the law), but I'll do it now. An extra day won't hurt.
As Grand General Secretary of Maritiimi-Maxhestic, I am hereby calling for the Sticlas of this year's political parties, per our Election Law.
The Election Law states:
Parties have until ten days before the election to post their Sticla.
Thanks!
GGS Davinescu

Huh, you're right! I'm actually a few days late, not a day early!
I'll notify the parties so my mistake doesn't hurt their chances. Good spot!

Registration of the Moderate Radical Party of Talossa (MRPT)
Provincial Leader: Magniloqueu Épiqeu da Lhiun
StatementIn the past, the MRPT had a high activity record and can look back on one of the strongest voting ratios. While we are a truly democratic party, we remain Loyalists and therefore Monarchists. Goals (some of them) in the Province of Maritiimi-Maxhestic: - confidential voting as is on a national level - promotion of directer democracy (e.g. by establishing a sub-section in the Assembly, enabling non-Assemblypersons to submit binding bill proposals) - finding new ways to make this province livelier and lovelier - forming a committee to translate every law in force into the Kingdom's official language (el glheþ Talossan) and German, due to the Province's Germanic heritage
Please hesitate not to ask furtherly, either on Wittenberg or on our official forums. You may want to vote MRPT, but you do not have to!

Epic, are you the leader of the MRPT, nationally? If not, then that leader has to be the one to designate you.

Its not really my decision though, because according to the MRPT statutes the MRPT members of one province can elect their own leader. Anyway, I can confirm Magniloqueu is the provincial leader of the MRPT in MM. Is that alright?

Dear Alex, I cannot see any legal basis for your claim that the national party leader has to register in the Sticla, appointing the provincial leader. Might you provide proof thereunto?

Election Law:
"The head of the party or their selected representative, as specified in the Sticla, is the only person who can assign seats won by their party in the election."
But what was just posted above will suit just fine. We just want to be sure that the person posting officially represents a party!

“Or their selected representative”. Correct. Meaning that the requirement for the national leader only to post in the Sticla is nonsense. What you may ask for, is proof that the person indicated as Provincial leader is indeed rightfully so, which has been done. But mostly, such matters are discussed privately in a civilised manner, without any snippy remark.

But mostly, such matters are discussed privately in a civilised manner, without any snippy remark. Er... you removed part of the sentence, so of course the meaning is changed. The next clause is as designated in the Sticla. The intended meaning - as I should know, since I wrote it - is that the head of the party posts the Sticla and may designate a local leader. This is to stop any disputes arising over the legitimacy of a local leader - no one can nominate themselves as the DPD leader, for example, unless the DPD really certifies them as such. As I look at the language, it does seem sloppily phrased. Maybe we should change it. But it's a mystery to me why you are so hostile about it all!

Party: ZRT Leader: C. Carlüs Xheraltescu Statement: If elected, the ZRT will commit to democratic reforms in the province, agitating for a form of direct democracy to be implemented. ZRT members have a reputation of being active provincial parliamentarians, and so that is what we will bring if the people of Maritiimi-Maxhestic elect us.
For a more general sense of what the ZRT will be campaigning on this term, please take the time to look at our manifesto when we publish it in the next few days. There we'll outline our focus - on democracy, accountability and responsibility.
Here's a few of the things we want to look at if you, the good people of Maritiimi-Maxhestic so choose to elect us.
- Reinvigorate provincial politics of the province - Campaign to adopt direct democracy to encourage greater participation for newer citizens - Direct election of the GGS - Adoption of a secret ballot to elect the Provincial Assembly until direct democracy is brought in
