Congrats and good luck! We of the NPW will be at your heels, in thorough opposition to your government, hounding you with all the due respect. I'd expect nothing less :-)

Exactly. The way it works is that the Independents this way had a way of making the RUMP party agree to supporting one or more core issues that an IND candidate champions (but not the RUMP, if there hadn't been such issues running as an Independent would have been meaningless). That's how coalitions or supporting a minority government works. The only way your accusation could be true is if an Independent would have said, without any sort of negotiation of terms, "I'll support that government but no other, and I don't want anything in return". We absolutely (the RUMP) did make some concessions to form this coalition. Rather minimal concessions it sounds like, but fair enough. In any case, it would have been very remarkable if the party that got over 49% of the votes had not formed the government. Best of luck, S:reu dal Nordselva!

Having been involved in the coalition talks, it's my opinion that the independent MCs of this Cosa are exactly what they say they are: independent. They were free to choose whichever option they felt was right, and whilst I may very well disagree with this option, I will accept it and move on.
It is the duty now of the opposition parties to serve this country loyally by providing the scrutiny and the viable alternative that good opposition parties should provide in a parliamentary democracy. Best of luck to all in their goals.
