Now, I believe, we wait on S:reu Lundescu. Once he has voted (ideally, in favor) we will request that the Secretary of State belay the previous request from this body, instead standing by to render assistance and advice to you as you might request.

I have e-mailed him, but also noticed he has not been on the Wittenberg since September. We might be at a standstill.

Well, we cannot do anything without a full vote (on this matter, anyway). We will have to try and contact him and hope he responds.

The motion passes. S:reu Biondeu, you are hereby designated as the M3, the Maximally Magnificent Majordomo, for such time as is necessary to conduct the election for the Eighth Assembly. You are instructed to be strict, diligent, and absolutely nonpartisan when administering this vote, and to go to whatever lengths you feeld are necessary to be sure that every Maritiimi-Maxhestian has the opportunity to vote. You is further instructed to report the results in a clear and open manner, and to present any irregularities to the people. If you are in need of guidance, then you shall consult the national Secretary of State for assistance. Please ensure that you act according to the national law and our local law - most particularly our election laws.
Please relay to the Secretary of State that we thank him for his efforts, but hereby belay our prior request to conduct our upcoming election, and that we further request that he provide you with whatever assistance you require.
I'd also like to request that you consider how we might codify general election instructions of this kind, in the future, for addition to the election laws of our province. Are these instructions and provisions adequate, or is further guidance necessary?
On a personal note, thank you for your service.

Side note: I think we need to appoint a Secretary or something similar to the province in order to maintain our own citizen's list and contact information for future elections. I will work on create a more stable set of instructions now and will hopefully have them presented before the close of our assembly, or right away in the new assembly!

I bring the following amendments to the Assembly for vote. The 3M Amendment to the Election Law The Election Laws for the Province of Maritiimi-Maxhestic I.) The size of the Provincial Assembly of Maritiimi-Maxhestic shall be equal to the number of citizens who voted for a registered political party in the most recent election. This is intended to give each individual voter their share of representation in the Assembly. II.) Elections shall be held in public and shall begin and end at the same time as national elections. They will be conducted by whoever is chosen by the outgoing Provincial Assembly. A time frame of fourteen days will be given for any objections. If no objections arise, the Grand General Secretary shall instate them as the Maximally Magnificent Majordomo. If no one is so chosen, then the Secretary of State shall conduct the election. III.) Registration as a political party is simple, and amounts to giving public notice to Maritiimi-Maxhestians a minimum of ten days before the election. To facilitate this process, the Maximally Magnificent Majordomo (or the Grand General Secretary in the absence of a Maximally Magnificent Majordomo) will post a notice of this requirement twenty days before the election. The notice must be placed on the current forums embraced by the Kingdom of Talossa (currently Wittenberg located at . This public notice shall be formally called "The Sticla" and must be available on request to any potential voter. The Sticla must indicate who is the head of the party. The head of the party named in The Sticla is the only person who can assign seats won by their party in the election. While it is not required to have information about the political positions and advocacies of the party, this is something that is highly recommended. IV.) When the election is organized by a Maximally Magnificent Majordomo they shall contact the Secretary of State in order to procure the e-mail of each Maritiimi-Maxhestian. A letter including the ballot along with a copy of the Sticla shall be e-mailed to each citizen. This shall also be posted on the current forums embraced by the Kingdom of Talossa. Votes are public. All votes are to be placed on the same thread as the ballot. All votes received directly by the Maximally Magnificent Majordomo shall be posted on the thread to include the citizen's name and their vote. The election results are to be announced within three days after the closing of elections. V.) The head of each party named in The Sticla shall distribute seats in the Assembly to citizens of Maritiimi-Maxhestic. Any citizen may be designated duly assigned seats never to exceed 50% of the total seats. Seats may be reassigned by voluntary relinquishment by their Assembly-person, who may relinquish either all or any of their seats as they choose.

We currently have a Grand Specific Undersecretary - we could assign that office the function of maintaining a citizen contact list. I am the current office-holder, and I wouldn't mind. Alternatively, we could require the M3 to do it and then to certify it is correct a month prior to the election.
I like some of the bill, but I'd request that you post a version with the changes in italics, so I can be sure I know all of them? And I think that it would be good to actually vote on it in the new Assembly, after we see how the election goes.

This has been a long and fruitful session, and I have been honored to be a small part of it. Yet again, our constitution and laws have been proven and solid, and we have maintained our position on the leading edge of Talossan provincial activity - only appropriate, considering how we are the foremost province of the nation. For the next session, I believe we will be working on the names of our various cantons and whatnot, the amending of our election law, the disposition of a water tower, and (hopefully) our provincial anthem, along with whatever else is brought us.
With that in mind, I move that we adjourn this seventh session of the Assembly of the Most Glorious Province of Maritiimi-Maxhestic, with thanks to all Assemblypersons and to all our citizenry. I put this to a vote, and I vote in favor.
