Thank you. I have now corrected my page and removed the information about me being one of the founding fathers of the Republic.

You just have a vague atmosphere of heroic rebellion that lends to such an impression, is all.

It is a Nation! One should see the term micronation as being indicative of a nation that is just very small. Denying that Talossa is a micronation is like denying that Mitt Romney's a Republican, IMO.

I can hear someone above this post screaming "Nationette! This is a Nationette!".

Nationette works as well; both nationette and micronation imply a nation on a small scale, which is very much what Talossa is.

The problem is just a definition of terms - for some people, "micronation" doesn't mean "very small nation, like Niue" but instead means "fake pretend not-real nation that sucks."

People who think the latter should investigate the meaning of the word "micro".

People who think the latter should investigate the meaning of the word "micro". Words often grow to assume meanings beyond their original components. Sweetbreads are not sweet and not made of bread, and backbiting rarely involves actual biting. In common usage, "microstate" refers to a very small legitimate country, while "micronation" refers to a small entity that claims to be or acts like a country but is not generally recognized as one. So Talossa may well be viewed as a micronation by outsiders who don't accept its claims about itself, but it strikes me as a bit silly for any entity to identify itself as a micronation. It's like being pretender to a royal title. A pretender does not say "I am the pretender to the throne" -- that would be missing the whole point of pretending. A pretender says "I am rightful king!" It is the lack of acceptance of that claim by the rest of the world that makes him a pretender.

If Talossans could stop being so pretentious and get the stick out of their asses and realise that Talossa is a micronation among other micronations, but a more stable and excellent one, much would be won.
I'm partial to truth and not very fond of self-aggrandizing chauvinism.

I regretted phrasing it that way after I switched off the computer. I'm sorry. I let my irritation at Ben get the better of me.

I let my irritation at Ben get the better of me. It happens! Especially because Ben was very aggravating. It still boils my blood to think of the time he offered to either sell all Talossa-related materials to us for a large sum, or else destroy them.
