Given the amount of time it's taken us to finally get around to holding an election for this post, I'm sure some impatience can be excused.

Just like Joe Abstain. Oh yeah, he's doing something with bricks right now.

I would like to offer my commiserations to my opponent, Joe "Inaction" Abstain, and my thanks to those who decided that I would make a good, if not great, first elected Capitan of the Free Province of Fiôvâ. Whilst it disappoints me that such an important position, both culturally and politically, went uncontested, I must comment on how much of an honour it is to serve the good citizens of this province as their Capitan. I hope that I can fulfil your expectations of me, and make Fiôvâ the BEST province in Talossa.

Congratulations Carlüs.
I have a question. Is there a way for citizens to see to who(which email adresses) voted?

I wouldn't advise the list of e-mail addresses be made public because I'm of the opinion that it would breach a degree of privacy. However, I'd like to know if it's possible for an apolitical officer of the state (perhaps a Justice of the UC) to be able to confirm/moderate/what-have-you if such a system were employed nationally.

Our SoS has that list of email addresses and there's no law against him releasing them, or at least saying which citizens voted, but I suppose it's up to El Capitán* to instruct him to release them or not.
* ¡SÅ VIVADRA EL CAPITÁN!

I wouldn't object to a list of people who voted being released. At least their contact details won't be made quite as easy to access that way.

I strongly object to the publication of contact details. I for one gave mine away in the hope that there'll be confidence.
