Good Morning, Fiôvâ!
First, let me thank Miestrâ and Ián for mentioning reasons to vote for me. Let me say in return, that if they are elected, they surely will do their best to dare something worthy in the Senate.
Now if you think they are good enough, why should you think I am any better? Not that much better, but different, I'd say.
For instance, I'm endorsing reforms like the introduction of a secret ballot in general elections. But I assume it will take a while until we have talked the majority of traditionalists in this country into seeing things our way. IMHO, it will take patience in addition to passion to get there. In the mean time, I believe, we should try to achieve small improvements, like for instance an open ballot that is not displayed before the voting time is over. Thus we could reduce an possible impact of public votes of "celebrities", while the supporters of open voting aren't depraved of the advantages that they see in their preferred voting method.
This is an example for the style of politicking that I am planning to provide. Rome wasn't built in a day, as the saying goes, but there certainly are ways to improve the united Talossa by and by.
I promise to be the democratic watchdog that I've been all the way since I joined the Republic of Talossa. You know me, I will not just hang around apathetically, if you send me out to sit in the Senate.
I'm strongly feeling Republican, therefore I will endorse any intiative that is making Talossan more Republlican; but, see above, it's not my intention to zap it over the heads of those who prefer to stick to what they perceive as the tradtional form of government. It will take a long breath and a lot of good arguments till they eventually may see things our way.
I'm a Peculiarist, too, which means that IMHO Talossa must not ape other nations to become more real. Neither do we have to act intentionally funny to become more different. Talossa is Talossa, which way ever it may choose, as long as we are feeling Talossan at heart.
There might be more you want to know: Just ask, I'm here and I won't run away.
Again, good morning, Fiôvâ. Vote Vercariâ, make him your Senator. He won't let you down.
