Estimats reviênsadéirs: There have been three amendments proposed to the Constitutional Draft. You have SEVEN (7) DAYS to vote PËR, CONTRÂ or AUSTENÉU on each: AMENDMENT 1To amend Section 9 to remove the words "decisions of the Landsdoom".AMENDMENT 2To amend Section 3 to remove the words "Elections for a new Capitán shall be held at the same time as the next Kingdom General Election after the office becomes vacant." and replace them with: "Elections for a new Capitán shall be held in the month of May. If the office becomes vacant between June 1 and February 1, then an election for a new Capitán shall be held as soon as possible after such a vacancy arises." AMENDMENT 3To amend the last sentence of Section 10 to read: "Any veto by the Cunstavál may be overturned by a two-thirds majority vote on an unaltered bill."

My votes:
1. CONTRÂ. Removing this section will enable Kingdom and provincial officials to simply ignore judicial decisions since they're "not law". 2. PËR. 3. CONTRÂ. I stand with our cuncitaxhiêns in Maritiimi-Maxhestic and hope they win their suit against the Kingdom government.

1. Për, because Court decisions, at least when it comes to provincial courts, can't be anything but an interpretation and enforcement of the application of existing law. Making laws is the prerogative of the People, or their elected representatives.
2. Për, even if this still leaves a long gap of a vacancy if the office becomes vacant soon after February 1. But that's the downside of fixed election dates, I suppose.
3. Contrâ cuz it's blowing the veto power of the Cunstaval out of proportion.

1. Austanéu 2. Për 3. Contrâ
I don't know what Regipäts law says about the legislative status of the judicial system. I also expect that whatever the OrgLaw says about it trumps whatever our constitution says.

2. Për, even if this still leaves a long gap of a vacancy if the office becomes vacant soon after February 1. The Cunstavál and GA can appoint an Acting Capitán during that time, and I figured four months was about the maximum length we could tolerate one of those.

No problem with that. Rember that as President I refused the early dissolution of a working CoD as the gap between by-elections and the fixed regular elections would have been too short to get anything done but handing out new appointments of Ministers.
But as I've said (or meant to hint), I think it's a disadvantage of fixed election schedules that it takes some kludges to fix problems with necessary late by-elections. To decide if this outweighs the advantages, is a matter of personal preferences, I suppose.

The fixed election schedule isn't something that I'd die in a ditch for, but I consider it an assertion of the Free Province's continuity with the Republic.

I hope it keeps away troubles with forgotten election dates and such.

I'm a little concerned about the way I have voted on amendment three. The Organic Law suggests that the King has a veto on any bill in the Kingdom, so having a veto overturned by a simple majority would essentially render it useless. Though the Senate is granted a veto override by simple majority.

Just so we are all aware - by voting CONTRÂ on Amendment 3 we are picking a fight with the King and his advisors. I for one am excited by this prospect, although others may differ.

Some principles need to be defended, especially if circumstances aren't as undisputed as the spokesman of the Crown tried to suggest.
