I'm having a difficult time coming up with a motto. I want it to be musically related, and all I've come up with so far is "one more time" which if you've ever been in band is the most meaningless direction there is.
Any other ideas?

Mick has some good ones. Another idea is to think of common phrases and proverbs that refer to music or have a musical origin, maybe give it a clever twist, and translate it into Latin or Talossan. I'm thinking of phrases like "face the music," "pay the piper," "march to the beat of a different drum/march to one's own tune," "he who pays the piper calls the tune," etc.
From just that list you could construct mottos like "Martschéu à va tün propreu" ("I march to my own tune"), or "Non fáçéu àl músiqeu, en façéu" ("I don't face the music, I make it"). The latter makes a pretty cool Talossan pun because "I face" and "I make" differ by only a single accent mark, but it gives a confident "carpe diem" kind of spin on the old phrase. To make it more subtle, you could just say "Façéu el músiqeu" ("I make the music," but it looks like "I face the music" which would be "fáçéu àl músiqeu"). Or you could generalize with something like "Që noi façadrent el músiqeu" ("Let's make the music").

Lord Q - The College of Arms is ever ready to assist with your motto. We also welcome a chance to help your Lordship with a crest, demesne and genealogical lineage in Burk's. You are in good hands with the Bartleby Pursuivant and Capt. Preston, Fellow of the Royal Talossan College of Arms. Pro Mundi - As a Baron, Lord Q is entitled to display his arms with a motto and a crest. One may view the full achievements for Lord Q and Lord Hooligan in Burk's Peerage. This is an example of progressive honours. On Burk's, one can see that the Barons have a mantle, crest and motto, while knights have a belt and a motto. The Duke and the Count have even more bling (to use a technical heraldic term). Burk's is named after our first true royalty, Barbara Burk Baugh Waters, who wore a crown as Miss Milwaukee and Miss Wisconsin in 1967, and went on to become second runner-up to Miss America in 1968. -- Jaune Sabre Herald, Squirrel King at Arms

Cresti, that's "peer"
not "pee-er".

Musica delenit bestiam feram ... Good suggestions. I can't compete with The Bartleby Pursuivant, but in noodling around today, I found these guys, which made me think of Lord Q and the verse " Et Dominus in voce tubae". I humbly offer this phrase for consideration. -- Jaune Sabre Herald, Squirrel King at Arms

Sotto Voce is awesome. I know a guy that used to sub for them, and Nat McIntosh is simply a badass. If you can find the Word On the Street and Unlearn albums by YoungBlood you will see exactly what I mean. His nickname isn't "Warrior" for no reason.

Methinks the petitioner has perhaps lost his way a bit in his quest for a motto. I suppose, as some famous musicians once said, it's a long and winding road, so maybe he has only managed to lose me.

So, Lord Q, what do you think? If you make up your mind at least a couple of days before 24 August, we can get your motto formalised on the Monarchy Day list.
