The RUMP has been entirely shut out of government for two terms, while the MRPT has led the majority coalition in the Government. I have many fond feelings for my colleagues in the MRPT, though, particularly Gluc (who is awesome) and fellow Maritiimi-Maxhestian Breneir Itravilatx.

Wasn't Gluc trying to make you change your 50 word statement and saying that you, uhh, lied? If i were you I wouldn't think Gluc was so "awesome" I would at the very least be mildly irritated

I guess it's good you're not me, then! No, I know that Gluc means only the best for Talossa, and that's what's important. Plus, it's very possible to disagree politically and still be on good terms, I think. I hope, anyway!

Of course, I am in complete agreement, it's just that you still are from differing parties and this entire thread is dedicated to how your party lied, your ability to keep your cool is admirable

It isn't so much that the RUMP has been shut out as it has been unable to form a coalition to form a government (or join a coalition).

Well, Txec is a little off there. Last term, they all agreed ahead of time not to allow the RUMP to be in government. This term we tried to come to terms with some parties, but it didn't work out and they continued the same coalition.

So what happened to the RUMP's Cosa seats?

We held seats, voted, and worked hard. We wrote and passed major legislation, like the big separation of public and private Witt bill to change how our forum here will work. We fought hard for our ideals and the interests of our voters. We'll always do that, in or out of government

Talossa has a parliamentary system. So we had a strong voice in the Cosa and voted on things, but we didn't have a majority.

The thing is that everyone in Talossa knows that A. Davinescù is the master of slander and abuse couched in "diplomatic" language... except perhaps A. Davinescù himself. The "politics of hatred" thing is simply him trying to play himself as a victim and go for a sympathy vote. The tactic is to tell horrible lies and personal abuse to elicit enraged reactions from the opposition; then point to the reaction as "persecution" and hope to get support as a nice-guy-victim. It is possible, for example, that Davinescù is on the autistic spectrum and really didn't understand that telling a political opponent that "you don't like work" oculd be seen as offensive; or, more likely, he knew that perfectly well and wanted to get a shocked reaction.
I don't think it'll work, except for the existing gang of RUMP Beagle Boys, so I find it tedious and amusing but not offensive. Meanwhile, the current ETT cartoon on this issue is the second one I've drawn. I drew another version which was much more pointed, but I decided not to publish it because I wanted to "end the politics of hatred" myself. When Davinescù wrote to me privately and asked me what my problem with him was, I pointed out specific and particular behaviour patterns that I found offensive and dishonest; he responded, "okay, you just plain hate me", either as if he couldn't understand what I was saying, or was pretending not to to troll me. Which was it?
