Glüc da Dhi: I remember my first term with the PP as a period where a lot of people were angry at each other for reasons I didnt really understand. Feb 26, 2015 15:00:35 GMT -6
Sir Alexandreu Davinescu: Was that while Owen was leading it, or right after? Feb 26, 2015 15:02:46 GMT -6
Glüc da Dhi: While he was leading it and right after as well Feb 26, 2015 15:04:38 GMT -6
Glüc da Dhi: Sadly didnt stop me from being involved in partisan bickering about some of these things I didnt understand Feb 26, 2015 15:05:57 GMT -6
Sir Alexandreu Davinescu: Things took a nosedive for what had been a really powerful progressive movement after he left. Steady gains at the polls had brought them almost even with the RUMP, and it was starting to look like a two-party system. Feb 26, 2015 15:06:17 GMT -6
Sir Alexandreu Davinescu: After he left, things got bad for the PP, and it brought out the worst in some people on both sides. Feb 26, 2015 15:06:45 GMT -6
Sir Alexandreu Davinescu: Eh, it happens, Gluc. All you can do is resolve to do better. If it helps, I really admire how level-headed and observant you are, and see no evidence of you engaging in any of that these days! Feb 26, 2015 15:07:39 GMT -6 *
Óïn Ursüm: i remember the elections for the 40th Cosa (I think) being particularly acrimonious. all sorts of nasty stuff from all sides. Feb 26, 2015 17:40:55 GMT -6
Sir Alexandreu Davinescu: Definitely. V and Owen fell out, and Flip & Eovert kicked V out of the Fair Party. It led to the consolidation of the many left parties into the PP, which made them a powerhouse (in only the next election, Flip won 6 to 0 (!) in Senats race against Tim). Feb 26, 2015 17:53:01 GMT -6
Sir Alexandreu Davinescu: So weirdly, the nastiest election set up one of the most cordial the very next time, for the 41st Cosa (my own seneschalsqab) (thanks, Memrise!). Feb 26, 2015 17:54:52 GMT -6 *
Miestrâ Schivâ, UrN: Man, we had some nasty Chamber of Deputies elections in the Republic, although the Presidentials were usually pretty courteous. Feb 26, 2015 19:08:02 GMT -6
Béneditsch Ardpresteir, O.SPM.: With my connection up and running... I'd be back soon Feb 26, 2015 21:08:15 GMT -6
Sir Alexandreu Davinescu: Good to hear, Beneditsch! Feb 27, 2015 6:12:46 GMT -6
Marcel Eðo Pairescu Tafial: How many are in glheþ mode since the Memrise thingee started? Feb 27, 2015 7:54:25 GMT -6
Marcel Eðo Pairescu Tafial: Maybe someone can run a new Talossan grammar course in the Uni? (pwease?) Feb 27, 2015 7:55:44 GMT -6
Sir Alexandreu Davinescu: Not sure anyone has the time to do that, but you can read the old lectures - or order Hool's book (now in second or third edition, I think) Feb 27, 2015 7:59:28 GMT -6
Sir C. M. Siervicül: I have grammar courses on my to-do list, with a bazillion other things. Hool is working on a new edition of his book, hoped to have it out by December but has been too busy to finish it. Hopefully soon. Feb 27, 2015 8:09:15 GMT -6
Sir Alexandreu Davinescu: The dress is blue and black. Feb 27, 2015 10:07:55 GMT -6
Eiric S. Bornatfiglheu: In the theatre we would say "The dress is whatever colour the lighting designer says it, unless the costume designer interferes." Feb 27, 2015 11:35:26 GMT -6
Marcel Eðo Pairescu Tafial: Dif-tor heh smusma -- Viva lung es prospera Feb 27, 2015 14:04:07 GMT -6
