What Iac is actually proposing is: "political candidates should know enough Talossan to write their campaign declarations [in it]". If that were softened to "a party's 50-word statements must be provided in both official languages", that might be an interesting reform. Suposéu qe c'esteva qet voleveu zirarh.

So I would have two options: 1) Get someone else to write the translation 2) Translate each word individually in l’Ovesteir, resulting in a terrible translation (but that would be ok because few people would read it) If you maintain even a smattering of grammar from your French classes, Talossan should be no sweat for you.

There are three main reasons that I know of why people choose not to learn Talossan: 1) they don't have time, 2) they think it's stupid and 3) they think they suck at learning languages.
To those of you who say they can't fit learning Talossan into their schedule, I say "and yet you have time to participate in what is basically a giant roleplay?" Besides, you don't have to dedicate hours and hours per day to learning. The pages on the Talossan language website are short enough to read in 10 minutes or less, and once you get through those you can try translating short texts and getting feedback.
For the ones who think the Talossan language is silly or stupid, I really have to question why they're even Talossan. The language is one of the most distinguishing traits of the Talossan nation and a bulwark of its culture. It is nearly unique in the extent of its development. To refuse to learn it for such a shallow reason is to, frankly, be un-Talossan.
And the people who are certain they have no ability to learn another language. All I can suggest is baby steps. The doors are open for anyone with an interest. Read the pages on the Talossan language website slowly and ask about anything on the forums here. You'll always get an answer.
Talossan awaits you! How about an entire nation of Ladintschen?

I simply can't stand looking at a country with a perfectly nice language that most everybody refuses to use. In my case, it's a bit of cognitive dissonance because I learned to speak "Talossan 2.1" (pre-2007), I still have all the language materials in that language, but most people who still speak it use the post-2007 version, l'Överstéir is in that version, and I just don't have the same emotional attachment to it. If you delve into the HTML, there's an option to turn the traditional spellings on.

Ok, look. If you've joined Talossa, it's most likely for the culture or the structure of the government. Aside, possibly, from el Bicoloreu, the Talossan language is the most concrete symbol of Talossa and Talossan culture. It is hardcoded into the law that Talossan is the primary official language of the kingdom.
Now, if you think Talossan is silly or stupid, 1) why do you have a Talossan name? and 2) there are plenty of other micronations with constitutional monarchies out there.
All that aside, I'm not just writing in random languages, and I'm not trying to score political points. Maybe I'm ruffling feathers, but not with intent to cause large-scale political or societal drama.
I simply can't stand looking at a country with a perfectly nice language that most everybody refuses to use.
