Unfortunately, I am getting reports from many sources that voters are not receiving their ballots. This is very worrying. Did the emails go out ok? Did we use the same service or method that caused this problem last time?

Gmail users: Check your Updates tab (that's where mine was, anyway).

Weird. I had no problems.

Gmail users: Check your Updates tab (that's where mine was, anyway). Who knew there was an Updates tab? Not me! It wasn't enabled by default. But now I see it, and can see that that's where my last few Clark reminders went. But no ballot there either. This is looking like a real problem. M-P, I hope you're proactively looking into this, because it seems likely to be a systematic problem and not just a few ballots experiencing slow delivery. And the election period isn't long enough to wait around. One of the citizens who has stated that he has not received a ballot is Éovart Xhorxh. Last election, he also had problems voting, and complained about them several times, but there was no resolution in time for him to vote.

I am using the Mandrill tool of Mailchimp, which is supposed to be the best system to bypass these problems.
I don't know how to be more proactive.
The last time, we were using my own servers.
I will certainly resend them in a day or two.

I had the ballot sent to my old email address (lucky I managed to recover the old password).
Weird, seeing how I remember signing up to the Chancery system with my newer and current email address. And, having just double checked to make sure, I do indeed have an email confirming my "subscrition" to the Chancery with my newer email address.

Find out what Iusti or Mick did when they ran the election, maybe? I don't think we had very many problems with this then, but this is the second election in a row that I'm worried about people getting left out. And since the election is half as long, it's twice as worrying.
Just to be clear: I'm not saying you did anything wrong. This stuff is really complicated and kind of mysterious, since it's hard to know where the heck the mail might be bouncing around.

I will certainly resend them in a day or two. Have you at least tried checking to see whether you have e-mails for everyone in the Mandrill tool? At least specifically looking to see whether e-mails for the people who haven't received ballots are in there? E.g. me and Éovart? Because just resending in a day or two won't help if the problem is that you don't have the right addresses in there to begin with.

I haven't received my ballot yet for the election.
I have always used only one email address for Talossan purposes and its not in any of my folders, spam or otherwise.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mick and Justin just manually BCCed them out! Did either ever have to run a secret ballot election

I suppose it's only the PSCs the voters need for the automated secret ballot system.

I suppose it's only the PSCs the voters need for the automated secret ballot system. Yeah, and a simple BCC method wouldn't work because each email would need to contain a unique PSC. So that must not be what Sir Iustì did (can't remember if the PSC went back as far as Sir Mick's tenure, though it probably did). Still, it should be possible to send out a simple election announcement ("hey, there's an election going on, you should receive a ballot by separate e-mail, let us know if you don't") by a "dumb" method like that. That would at least give people an opportunity to report problems who might not even know an early election is occurring.

Oh shit, I think I just found the issue: the SPF record. I'll fix it tomorrow morning and redo it.
