If it so please the Squirrel King of Arms, I request the assistance of the College in designing and obtaining arms for myself and my lawful heirs. My favourite colour is red. As a gesture that I have done some preliminary research using the College's suggested resources, I present this rough draft of a design I envisioned: Pinátsch sable upon a gyronny of 10 gules and argent. (Pinátsch being a word being considered for inclusion into the Talossan dictionary as the word for "antlers"). I am certain someone could do a better job of this. I am not a designer and it's just a suggestion: With thanks, ~ Sevastáin Pinátsch

The Dean of the College has assigned this request to me.
Heraldic antlers are deer antlers by default. Do you want to specify the use of moose (or "elk", as Europeans call them) antlers?

Yes please. I like the wing/plumage they suggest.

Alright. FYI, the heraldic term for an antler is "attire" ("attires" for a pair, and, e.g., a buck with black antlers would be blazoned "a stag attired sable"). But another obscure term for a pair of antlers attached to a piece of skull (or sometimes the whole head) is a "massacre."
The overall concept appeals to me, but I'll have to consult with the rest of the college about whether the complexity of the field division combined with the complexity of the charge might make the design too difficult to recognise. Though if S:reu Gavárþic'h's design was accepted, it seems that this should be as well.

Thank you, Sir Cresti.
I like the "massacre" description.

How are the discussions going? Any initial agreement that my design compares favorably enough with S:reu Gavárþic'h's one be considered within spec?

Sorry for the delay. No objection has been raised to the concept, so I'll try to work on an emblazon as soon as I can devote some time to working on a real computer with a graphics program better than Microsoft Paint. Hopefully in the next day or two.

It took longer than I expected to get GIMP figured out on this computer, and I apologise for that, but I've just PMed you a draft emblazon. Let me know what you think.

While my Arms have not been granted yet, I just wanted to recognize Sir C. M. Siervicül for his kindness and professionalism in collaborating with me in this process. Having already enjoyed a previous positive experience with him in the selection of my name (along with S:reu Anglatzara and S:reu da Lhiun), I am enormously thankful for the assistance he provides in his many roles.
My gratitude, Sir.
