My name is Magniloqueu Épiqeu Da Lhiun. If it so please the Squirrel King of Arms, I request the assistance of the College in designing and obtaining arms for myself, and my lawful heirs. I do not have a favourite colour and am open-minded in this aspect. I do have a favourite area of interest, which are the humanities, especially linguistics. I have been assigned to the province of Maritiimi-Maxhestic and my official surname (Türkaslan) translates to "Turkish Lion". My official given names (Selçuk-Destan) translate to "silver tongue"/"golden mouth" and "poem/epic/ballad", respectively. As for some ideas, I thought about this: As primary charge, a lion seems almost mandatory. I favour a lion passant, and eke a lion rampant/sejant is acceptable. If possible, the lion's tongue could be argent? Is it possible to have the lion holding a book or anything similar, as to show my devoted passion toward humanities and literature? (A lion holding a martlet is not possible, I assume?) What about a Khamsa? This khamsa would do fine by me. (Initially, I wanted the Khamsa charged on a canton, but I found out that a canton is often, if not always, a symbol for special honours granted by the Monarch.) As for the assignation of an assistant, I have no preference. I thank anyone in advance for putting up with my request.

That's understandable, but technically to make a formal , acceptable request for a Coat of Arms, you have to state some colours as being your favorite.

Very well, I can work with Murrey and Vert.
EDIT: But I am still not opposed to being open-minded about it.

As the Dean of the College, it is my initial task to assign you a Fellow from the College to aid and assist you in the creation of your Coat of Arms (CoA).
I have asked The Bartleby Pursuivant to assist you in the creation and design of your CoA. He should be getting in contact with you soon.

Azul, Magniloqueu! A silver-tongued lion seems like an excellent idea. A khamsa should be doable as well, though as a heraldic charge it'll probably have to be a simple, somewhat stylised design.
I've consulted the College about murrey, and it has been determined that murrey should be classed with sanguine and tenné, as tinctures not to be used in arms except by special permission. The term means "mulberry," though, and if you wanted actual mulberries to appear on your arms, in their natural colour ("proper"), that would be fine.
If the primary charge is to be a lion, and the lion will be tinctured "proper" or "or" (and langued argent), perhaps you would like it to appear on a field vert (or gules, in lieu of murrey)?

So, I thought about it: The lion need be blazoned as "proper", otherwise the argent tongue (oh, I also would like argent claws) would be against the rule of tincture, would it not? (Is there any other tincture but Or for lions that is styled "proper"?)
I am very indecisive about the field's tincture...

In that this request has had no activity for over two weeks, I am declaring this inactive until further notice.

So... you declare this inactive, because I had nothing to say? Didn't know that this works.

We can always re-instate the Request- but yes, in that you had not replied to my post answering your question, nor had you commented about the tincture of the field, I temporarily set it to inactive.

Could we make the field azure, too? I find green and Or just not... appealing.

An azure field? Alright, I'm a bit snowed under at work right now, but I'll try to prepare a draft or two based on what we have so far in the next few days.

Sorry for the delay, but here is a draft emblazon I've created using some of the elements we've discussed so far: an azure field, a lion (langued argent) holding a book, and khamsas. What do you think?
