I haven't received a welcome mail... The "welcome mail" people are talking about is an email I sent to everyone who had initially posted their interest, but then did NOT answer the "okay, it's time to start; who is still in?" question in the thread we had a week or two ago. For those people who received it and are showing up in these threads now, I will add you to the roster, and welcome to the class! Hool

I believe written Chinese also has a classical style (still used in Taiwan) a simplified form (used the People's Republic). Variation in writing has many precedents.
