The University's Talossan language course will begin on Foundation Day (4 July). Thereafter, lectures will appear each Monday. We will have 14 lectures and one (yet to be determined, but probably toward the middle) week off, for a total of 15 weeks. Each week there will be a lecture and an assignment. The fourteenth lecture will include the assignment for the final exam, which will be an extended translation, open-book, open-notes, open-everything. The final exam will be due on Llimbaziua (12 December) and, after grading and correction, will be made available online all together as one big PDF book, with credit given to individual translators.
Now, we want to make sure we know who's still in. So if you still want to take this course, please reply to this thread before 4 July, and we'll make sure you're on the class roll.

I plan on still taking part, unless I become too engrossed in other activities (Cthulhu ftagn). But the fourth...really? I'll probably be slamming down too much currency that day to follow the lecture...

But the fourth...really? I'll probably be slamming down too much currency that day to follow the lecture... The fourth is a Thursday, and the other lectures will be published on Mondays. We wanted the class to start and end on a holiday. It starts on Foundation Day, and the final is due on Language Day.

I'd still like to take this course, but I have to announce in advance that I won't be around in the week 26/8 - 1/9.

The actual first day will be Organic Law Day (Saturday, 6 July), rather than Foundation Day (4 July), but we wanted people to feel free to consider the class as beginning on either one, for festive reasons. You could even consider the class as beginning on King Robert I's Birthday, which is, of course, 2 July.
In any case, the first lecture won't be delivered until Monday the 8th. We decided to divide the schedule into weeks beginning on Saturday (even though we won't post lectures until Monday, giving Sir Iustì and I, in theory, the weekend to prepare and perfect them).
In truth, as S:r Taiwos says, the chances of Sir Iustì and I being sober enough on that extended Talossan holiday weekend to create a lecture are slim, so he and I hope to prepare the first one early.

Yeah, summer's a busy period for me (and I suspect many others) but I'm still interested in doing what I can!

Okay, that's nine students still interested. And today's the day. I'll get the first lecture up.
