The Office of the Prime Minister of Talossa __________________________
L'Óifisch dal Seneschal del Regipäts Talossa
Whitelisting of Nova Roma Per Talossan statutory law 37RZ22, A citizen of Talossa in good standing has petitioned the government for the whitelisting of Nova Roma. Neither the Attorney General nor the Foreign Minister presented any objection, so therefore I have approved the petition. Done under my hand and seal, as from Kenwood House, this day the 28th day of April, in the Year of Our Lord 2013, of the independence of Talossa the thirty-fourth, and the seventh in the reign of our gracious Sovereign John. Txec Róibeard dal Nordselva, MC Seneschal

I Mick this petition. I was briefly involved with Nova Roma a few years before I found Talossa. They're an okay bunch. (I still remember my name...Decimus Alexandrius Tasius)

Thanks for "micking" even though it isn't required :-) by this notice, Nova Roma is already white listed.

Thank you for tthis, Prime Minister.
Is there a space where we can check the whitelist in the future?

How amusing, Nova Roma and Hutt River are the only whitelisted micronations.

How amusing, Nova Roma and Hutt River are the only whitelisted micronations. Why is that amusing? I received the petitions, consulted, and followed through.

How amusing, Nova Roma and Hutt River are the only whitelisted micronations. That is probably because they are the only two that a Citizen has asked to have whitelisted.

I just thought that other micronations were already on the list. We might consider to put Seborga and Sealand in.

Is this an unilateral diplomatic recognition in camouflage? Do they care if we are whitelisting them? Should they return this act of mercy?

I'm wondering what's the point of this exercise. Is this an unilateral diplomatic recognition in camouflage? Do they care if we are whitelisting them? Should they return this act of mercy? That's a good question. Personally, I saw the whitelisting process as a way of clarifying that some kind of club or organization that Talossans actually wanted to join, but that might be interpreted as falling within the law's definition of "micronation," actually is not a micronation from Talossa's perspective and therefore is not the kind of entity that the law is aimed at. Nova Roma makes sense from this perspective -- you might have Talossans who want to participate in Nova Roma as a historical recreation and don't really see it as a micronation. It would make sense to whitelist overt simulations like the Society for Creative Anachronism and Boys/Girls State too. But whitelisting Hutt River or Sealand or Seborga doesn't make that much sense to me. That kind of entity, in my opinion, is more of a candidate for actual diplomatic recognition rather than whitelisting. I see Seborga more as a real country like Talossa than as a club Talossans should be cleared to join like the SCA.

When is it Seborga and Sealand's turn? And that nation that is surrounded by Nevada, US. I keep forgetting its name. Molassia, I think.

Molossia? That's something of a one-man nation though.
