I. 4. Offensive Armory – Vulgarity and obscenity are not permitted.
I. 4. d. Offensive Political Symbolism – Symbols specifically associated with social or political movements or events that are reasonably considered offensive to a particular race, religion, or ethnic group are not to be used. In particular, the fylfot (or cross gammadion) is prohibited as a charge in Talossan heraldry.
The Squirrel King , the Blanc Wolf and I are having a discussion about this subject.
I will relay our discussion and judgement as soon as we come to a decision.

Herewith, an Official Pronouncement.
There are a number of symbols in use around the world that resemble, more or less, the National Socialist swastika. The use of any of them in Talossan heraldry — any symbol, that is, that is likely to put an observer in mind of the Nazi symbol — is forbidden. This unfortunate fact may seem somewhat unfair to a Talossan who wants to use one of these innocent symbols (like the Hindu swastika, or the Basque cross) in a heraldic device, but in our judgment the potential for misunderstanding or serious offense is simply too great. The Nazis did a vast deal of damage to many things; heraldry, regrettably, is one of them.

As for the red and green field, we specifically reserve only the per pale division.
We have so many citizens that want to use red and green in their CoA’s - I really would prefer not to expand the definition of what is not allowed when it comes to those colors.
( sorry about missing the wink before! )

That is too bad but I do understand, I am sure the Basque cross looks a bit like the Swastika. It's not a big deal, I don't want to cause any misunderstandings of course so I suppose I have to think of something else. The only other Basque symbol that crosses my mind at the moment is the 'Arrano Beltza' (Lit. Black Eagle). I think it's the second most used Basque symbol. banderasdelmundo.net/catalog/images/arrano.jpg

Woah, I am impressed. How did you even manage to fix all that in such a short time? It's even better than the other one. I say 'yes'! Definitely!

In any case, if the good dean and the SKA approve of this design, I will put it forward. I'm glad I didn't go to the trouble of emblazoning the last sample :-) When the king speaks, we mere mortals tremble and obey!

Just short of complexity issues It seems that our King does listens to the voice of his people (atleast I have been lucky).

But... you can't display it yet!
You have to wait until the King formally approves of your request.
Which should be on 26 December.
