While Vuode is not holding provincial elections just now, I would still like to address Vuodean citizens on behalf of the CSPP.
I am Talossan. Talossa is in my heart. And while Talossa beats in my chest, I am Vuode to the bone. I relate to the spirit and the history of our province. Even more-so these days, where I find myself not in extra-Talossan employment. 'A boy's room is his Kingdom'. Isn't that the truth! Even as men (and women), our rooms are our own personal Kingdoms. Of course, our founding father ended up a tyrant, however, comparing him as a young teen to my young teen, I think I was fairly similar to him, and I think many Talossans probably were too. It's lit little bit of eccentricity or something that brought us here in the first place and then said 'Yep, this crazy place is for me'. That part of us (probably the ego) that forces us to do something bold now and again, to stand up and tell them your not happy and try to make a difference by doing it our own way. That is the spirit of Vuode. The spirit of Talossa beats within us and The spirit of Vuode is what makes us.
The Progressive message takes the spirit of Vuode, that we have right and privileges as humans, and also says we have obligations and responsibilities too. We should be acting as humanitarians in Talossa, showing all other nations how to be. We should have a perfect legal system, morally and ethically balanced. We should look after each other and give charity when we can. A wise prophet once said 'a smile can be charity'. We should be working towards promoting human and civil rights within Talossa and make it an attractive and perfect society.
Some disagree. A Fiovan recently said we were all amateurs. I don't know how much more professional the politicians are where he comes from, but in the UK, legislators are mostly plain folk like us. Sometimes, one wonders if they even know what they are doing. Okay, though. Let's say we are. If we are amateur, I say let's do better. If we don't know how, why don't we learn as we go along? Let's build a nation that is better than the rest. One that lives by a code of conduct worthy of respect. One that is perfect and awesome. Our Vuodean Senator wears a signature from time to time that reads, 'I see your Utopia and raise you logic'. Well, I see your bet.
I want to see a thriving, vibrant nation with eight active provinces. Vuode has problems here though, more than the rest. Problems that need addressed.
Something is wrong with the way Vuode gets it's immigrants. This term we are going to discuss the catchment area issue and make sure Vuode gets a better share.
Our constitutional status is a shambles. Apparently, the Cunstaval cannot abolish the constitution. The three sitting Premiers must. I, being one, and hopefully with the two others, will be drafting provincial legislation to stop the constitutional experiment gone wrong. I also think we should look to the other provinces for aid in the matter of re-writing the constitution. I feel the provinces would do well in beginning to work and play on more things together.
The CSPP have put web development near the top of their list of things to do. Vuode would benefit from this, along with all provinces. A CSPP government would take the MRPT 30 year plan and spread it over 5. Active website and forums for the provinces, now, not later.
Vuode turnout at the polls is low so far. I hope this is not through apathy and is more to do with undecided voters. I ask Vuodeans to consider giving your Cosa vote to the CSPP. We see provincial development as a high priority and would work towards devolving more power to the provinces and getting them active.
Please Vote CSPP.
(PS: I also know that Lutzia, the border collie, would love to run around and play in Dun Cestour!)
