I have a strong reservation on 43RZ25 If 43RZ25 is passed now, those who are reassigned to Fiova would not be eligible to elect their own party/ leaders for the entire term of the Cosa... moreso since their(Fiovian) Constitution and everything was framed before our eyes and now when we wont have any powers we'll be forced to become like refugees in the new province for quite some time, i.e. till the next elections . It's like the formation of Pakistan, wherein the displaced Muslims from India are still classified as 'muhajirs' and discriminated against. If this bill is passed, I'm sure to leave Talossa, rather than being pushed to Fiova which would in all probability be ruled by the ZRT - the party of the republicanists. I would request His Majesty, Madam Prime Minister, and the Disdain to salvage the situation and make some additional law/amendments/PDs etc. to either - i) allow people being affected by this law to choose even other states ii) delay the election of the seats of the provincial body and the senate till after the Cosa election and also hold the Captain and the Constitution to be invalid for Fiova till the other citizens are reassigned and then let them frame the constitution and elect their Captain This amendment should have been brought before the elections so that the elections were fair and equitable. This is a serious apprehension requiring immediate action. Ben - Ard

i) allow people being affected by this law to choose even other states ii) delay the election of the seats of the provincial body and the senate till after the Cosa election and also hold the Captain and the Constitution to be invalid for Fiova till the other citizens are reassigned and then let them frame the constitution and elect their Captain Your reservations are justified. The easiest solution is a PD (issued before the end of the election) which states that citizens affected by 43RZ25 dispositions on provincial assignements has an opt-out.

This is a serious apprehension requiring immediate action. Ben - Ard I would like to address the concerns raised by S:reu Ardpresteir and would like to assure him that he nor any other citizen will be re-assigned as a result of this Act. The OrgLaw is very clear: [/u] Section 3. No person shall have his assignment to a Province altered without his express consent, even if the Ziu shall see fit to redraw the geographic assignment boundaries. However, a Talossan living in Talossa shall always be assigned to the province in which he lives, even when provincial borders change and his home is thereby "reassigned" to a different province. [/quote] Therefore, this act will only apply to new citizens and not current citizens, unless a PD/Act is made re-assigning you by name to another province or you have given you express consent to be moved as a result of boundary changes. Thus, there is no need for a PD or any action on this issue as you and other will remain in your current province regardless if this act passes or not. - Litz

As a Co-Sponsor of this Amendment, I agree and confirm that this Amendment will not be applied to any current citizen retroactively.
This only applies to future immigrants.

I'm happy to learn that I'll remain a Maricopan... and my father too will be a Maricopan !
But my vote remains NON!
However, why does my vote for 43RZ36 not being reflected?

Ben-Ard: Your vote for 43RZ36 had been recorded. The running totals are adding up to 19 votes cast for the amendment which in turn adds up to the total of 20 cast (ie: 20 minus 1 for T.M. Asmourescu, who is giving his votes on this later = 19).
However, the table had a wonky [./td] table tab on your line. Sorry for that. Fixed now.
