In Britain, if you ask for soda, they give you this: (image expunged) ...which isn't cool. E I agree that would be upsetting, And all around not very neat. So what do they call the drinks That are fizzy and sweet?

I have updated my campaign platform, The new thing below can be seen; To make the new thing most clear, I've highlighted it green: - I will strive to use my lack of experience as an asset.
- I will endeavor to understand and reflect the will of all Ataturkeys.
- I will maintain 100% transparency at all times, and will be available to each and every Ataturkey for personal contact.
- I will work to see that a Provincial Constitution is ratified by the end of the 40th Cosa.
- I will absolutely, positively, without question, NOT run for a second term, under any circumstances, period.
- I will rhyme. All the time.*
* To make clear my resolve, I'm doing this even now. If elected I'll continue for my reign, ...somehow.Danihel Forestal (but call me danielo, eh?)

We could have the first Province, With a Rhyming Premier, If you'll only vote for danielo, (Which means posting sometime this year....).

"Pop" is common in the States, as well, It seems to be a regional dialect thing. My parents say "pop" still, I believe -- I say "soda" because I like the ring.

Where did you buy an 86¢ soda? The "$1.72 Soda Store" was having a half-off sale. I'm sorry, but this made me laugh for quite a while.

Well, we call it coke, just as a general term. Don't care who made it. Having no talent for poetry, I'm afraid. I shall use haiku. Haikus are easy, but sometimes they don't make sense. Refrigerator.

In the interest of having more than one candidate in the race and since she's agreed to run, I hereby nominate Melissa Hensley Baker as our next Premier.
I hope we hear from Melissa soon, with a brief bio and qualifications.

Qualifications: 1. School spelling bee champion in the 5th grade. 2. Awesome zipper scar. 3. An ENTIRE YEAR’s worth of a college education. 4. The ability to break into an amazing British accent when I become inebriated.
I accept your nomination Qualified, or not. One thing, besides my rhyming… My RUMP’s exceptionally HOT.

Hi everyone!
On behalf of the RUMP I would like to announce the following cheek assignments.
Brad Holmes holds 18 of the RUMP's 22 cheeks.
Melissa Hensley Baker holds the remaining 4 cheeks.
If there are other RUMP Atatürkeys that would like to participate in the House of Commons, let me know, we can work something out.

As I shamelessly try to boost my post count from 503 to 504, I would like to call for a vote for our next Premier.
Currently we have the following candidates, I suppose we can have any number of write-ins:
Danihel Forestal of the PP party
Melissa Hensley Baker of the RUMP.
To those that hold seats in the House of Commons: Please cast your votes prior to the end of this month.
My 9 votes are for Melissa Hensley Baker.

I would like to vote for myself as well. I like that I can, and I do what I like.

I suppose it'd be strange, If I didn't vote for ME. Though I mean no disrespect, To the rump of Ms. Hensley.
So I cast my votes to myself, And hope others might as well, But however things turn out, I think it'll be just swell.

All 4 members have voted. I'll take a stab at making a table to show those votes. I'm at work with not much to do at the moment, taxpayer money working at its finest! Member | # of seats | Candidate | Baker | 2 | Baker | Holmes | 9 | Baker | Forestal | 5 | Forestal | Ursüm | 4 | Forestal |
Candidate | Votes Received | Baker | 11 | Forestal | 9 |
Voting is now closed. Congratulations to Mrs. Melissa Hensley Baker, the new Premier of Atatürk! And thank you to the runner-up, Danihel Forestal for a very poetic and rhythmically pleasing campaign. Maybe you guys should make the PP party stand for Poetry Party.
