It is far from too late to sign up, since this course has not yet been posted to a sub-board. Come one, come all -- it will begin at an unspecified time in the future (unspecified future tense?). In the meantime, check the boards for the Klingon course (offered by Iustí Carlüs Canun) which is coming much sooner.

I am also interested in learning Talossan... but can I also slip in a new word here and there?

I am also interested in learning Talossan... but can I also slip in a new word here and there? I am sure if you join the CÚG (Comità per l'Útzil del Glhetg - Committee for the Use of the Language) you will be able to find ways to help develop the language and it's uses.

That's pretty much how languages grow. Don't go overboard, pick your words carefully (try to make sure they "fit" Talossan), and if they catch on they'll become part of the language's vocabulary.

Sorry (again) for the delay in getting this class underway. I hope that it has not dissuaded any of the enrollees. Once again, the delay is (still) with getting the final proof copy of El Guizua àl Glheþ Talossan perfected and finally up for sale. Having said this before, I know I may not be believed, but I'm on the final stage now, and the book will be available "soon" and then the class can begin.
Honest.

Glad to hear that this course will soon commence. It will be nice to have a published professor guiding our students. The Guizua àl Glheþ Talossan (Guide to the Talossan Language) will make a very good textbook. Will it be required or recommended? Keep us posted when it is available to purchase.

Well, while I hope that every student of the Talossan language, whether enrolled in this class or not, would like to have a copy of El Guizua, I will try to teach the class without referring too much to it, because to require my students to buy a book that I wrote seems a bit self-serving.
Although I must say that when I was in college, the class that I enjoyed the most (while going into it not thinking I would) and gained the most from was the single class I had where the professor was the author of the required text for the class -- Digital Design.
So hmm..... Well, at least let this be a sales pitch. :-)
I will most definitely announce to the Talossan-speaking (and reading and learning and planning-to-learn) community as soon as the book is available out there.

Great! After this first ever university course in Talossan creates more fluent citizens, I'll have to offer ESL for Talossans! ;-)
