Hi people of Vuode, it seems that I am a citizen here, not Ataturk as we were led to believe. **Scowls at Capt. Mick**
Anyway, at risk of getting into trouble for becoming a posting maniac today, I start another 'I'm the new guy' thread. So who else hails from Vuode?
PS: I am glad that I am in Vuode as opposed to Ataturk since I don't need to go to the character map to spell it correctly. ;D

Hi people of Vuode, it seems that I am a citizen here, not Ataturk as we were led to believe. **Scowls at Capt. Mick** Welcome to Vuode, the heart of Talossa. Vuode is the original Talossa, and has the only golf course in our nation. Welcome! PS: The SoS is a great guy - don't go scowling at him. Anyway, at risk of getting into trouble for becoming a posting maniac today, I start another 'I'm the new guy' thread. So who else hails from Vuode? Humbly, I report for duty. PS: I am glad that I am in Vuode as opposed to Ataturk since I don't need to go to the character map to spell it correctly. ;D You got that right, brother! Welcome! Sir Trotxâ Betiñéir, UrN

Eddie, now the welcome banner says you're in Maricopa...just where do you really belong? Are you one of those snow birds that moves from one spot to the next depending on the weather?

I have no idea!! My SoS said in my immigration thread Vuode, and it says Vuode on the main KoT website...I'm hoping that the banner is just a mistake, I can't afford another removal truck.

Azul! I'm new to Vuode, too. (I know, my post came 5 yrs. and 7 mos. too late. But I guess that's still OK. Is it?) Pardon my intrusion; I enjoy visiting my provincial neighbours. While many communities might frown upon reviving old threads, I would hope that is not true here. Wittenberg is the history book of our society--full of instruction, humour and wisdom. As a relatively recent immigrant, I enjoy what I learn when an old thread is pushed to the top, or better still, when old versions of Witt are discovered and shared. Anyway, one recently bumped thread contained a gem from Doug Earnest, describing The Cat in the Hat as a Coat of Arms: talossa.proboards.com/post/62523/threadWonderful, wonderful stuff.

At times, an "intrusion" isn't so bad. " Wittenberg is the history book of our society--full of instruction, humour and wisdom." That's what I've been doing most of the time, read old threads that I find interesting. I've encountered a lot of nice, er, stuff (congrats on your being named as the new MinStuff, by the way), and I had quite a lot of "Ah, ha!" moments, too. " Some aspects of the culture and posting suggestions seem a little daunting, but, that being said, every member of Talossa should be empowered, free and able to experience that unique part of the culture that makes the entire experience unique and uniquely-affirming." I truly agree with Tom ( talossa.proboards.com/thread/10035/introducing-tom-grogan?page=2&scrollTo=124425) on that. I get a feel of empowerment every time I'm in the Witt; but for fear of saying or doing something that may offend a fellow citaxhien, I keep my activity to a minimum; enough to know what's going on in the Regipäts but stopping shy of, er, rocking the boat. Despite that, my enthusiasm has not wavered. We sure have good thing going on around here. I hope to contribute further to it.

I didn't like Doug very much (as I tend to dislike people who threaten me with bodily injury and/or death), but he could be a pretty funny dude sometimes.
