Azul Fellow Talossans -
¡Dïeu Voi Alegra! My name is Trotxâ Betiñéir, and I am a candidate for Senator from Vuode. A decent respect to the opinions of my fellow Vuodeans, and of the world, requires that I should declare the causes which impel me to forward my candidacy for this important office.
You may ask, "Who is this guy". With permission, I share a brief biography. I am a native of Montana, and grew up in Colorado. I went on my first camping trip at the ripe age of six weeks. I was a two-time champion fencer in college. I'm a founding member of the RUMP, I'm certified as SPHR, my Myers-Briggs type is ENTJ, and I'm a former member of the SPEBSQSA.
Before coming to the Kingdom, I was elected to a county-level political office, and later served as the chief elected officer of 501(c)6 professional organization with a half-million annual dollar budget. I was invited to join Talossa by Lord Hooligan and King John. I have served Kings Louis and John in several capacities - Governour of Pengopats, Jaune Sabre Herald, Senator from Cezembre, Senator from Vuode and Minister of Defence.
You may ask, "So what can we expect if we return Betiñéir to the Senats?" Here is what you get when you vote for me:
You may hear some recently-arrived citizens vaguely proposing that the Ministry of Defence should fight apathy. Under my watch as Minister of Defence, that's exactly what I have done. I was appointed Minister of Defence by Sir Fritz, replacing a previous minister who had posted 4 times since he was appointed on 26 July 2005 and my appointment 7 months later. At that time, our valiant Navy consisted of one boat, which our ex-king had reported as disappeared under suspicious circumstances. We had exactly nobody in our Navy - not an officer or enlisted ranking. Critical legislative mandates on intelligence and structure had been blatantly ignored.
Since my appointment on 24 February 2006, I have cleaned out dead wood, rebuilt the Navy, created the Zouaves, rebooted the Primary Intelligence Group, established a web presence for our fighting forces and intelligence service, recruited officers and started a series of training sessions that has improved the knowledge of our Navy and Guard. I've documented all historical appointments in The Royal Gazette, which I helped found and then ported to a new, easier-to-use venue. As part of the RUMP, I offer experience, competence, excellence, and results.
Still, you may hear some recently-arrived citizens vaguely proposing that the Ministry of Defence should fight apathy. It is true that I have not posted over 1000 times since becoming a citizen over two years ago. My philosophy is that talk is cheap, but actions speak louder than words. I know my fellow citizens are busy with their lives - earning their livings and enjoying their families. As busy adults, we don't have time to tackle a high "noise to signal" ratio. I know my fellow citizens would rather not sift through dozens, if not scores of "me too" messages in order to find a hidden but vital golden nugget of useful information.
I believe my fellow citizens come to Witt to find compelling content, and so I have done my best to find and share that content. My party's opponents suggest that the only way to fight apathy is with an inflated personal post count. I humbly disagree.
In summary, you know where I sit and where I stand. I ask you to vote Betiñéir for Vuode in this next election.
My name is Trotxâ Betiñéir, and I approve this message.
EDIT 20-DEC: Replace the â in Trotxâ, which seems to have disappeared.

- Talossa keeps an experienced hand as Minister of Defence.
- Talossa gets continued leadership in the Senäts.
- Talossa stays as a real nation. Others want to make Talossa a micronation. I pledge to fight against this insidious reduction.
- Talossa will be protected from menacing hoards of undead, and Canadians.
- Vuode gets a Vuodean for Vuode.
