That's something I could look at, but assuming talossa.com got blocked because of your browsing (...and whose else might have been?), won't your domain get blocked the same way?
Wouldn't it be a better solution for you to look into using a VPN?

When I was in high school and tried using the school’s WiFi to get on Witt, it was blocked, almost certainly because the school system blocked all Proboards forums. I imagine a similar thing is happening here with the new forum.

With wittenberg.talossa.com, what tells you you're visiting a forum if you don't actually access the page?
And incidentally, since Amada just registered for an account, it might even have been the wiki that got the domain flagged.

No it is because of another school.... We have a shared database, and if one school blocks something it blocks it for our school too. Anyway, I get on with IT staff and they'll unblock my site...

I have a problem! I have registered in the "new Witt".... but I can no longer access it at all! I get the message
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
no matter whether I am logged on to this "old Witt" or not. I have tried using Safari and Firefox - same problem,
Help!!!

Just to be sure, what URL are you trying to access? wittenberg.talossa.com and wittenberg.talossa.com should both work (although in practice the first gets redirected to the latter) Edit: PB is being an utter cock with URLs and from mobile it looks like it is truncating both my links. But they should work as intended.

I have tried both, and also links to talossa.com from Google references. I have also added index.html and index.cgi (etc.) to the end of these web addresses - same result. Is it, perhaps, because my IP address discloses that my machine is in the UK (possible?)? Or that I have a beard (improbable!)? Whatever it is, it's ****ing annoying - and interferes with my function as a Justice - not good!
I shall try with more forms of the address, and see what I get - and I shall keep you informed.

Hmmm. Looking back at the other queries in this thread, it may be that some IP address ranges are being denied, but intermittently. I found it difficult to get onto the site to register myself, a couple of weeks ago - and impossible since. Upon what machine is this site hosted - one of our own, or a public one? Are we confident that the power of the machine is great enough? What guarantees have we been given from the supplier of the service?

Upon what machine is this site hosted - one of our own, or a public one? It's a commercial service. 24/7 Support and 99.9% Uptime:

This is very strange and potentially very difficult for me to fix. Do you have similar problems with accessing other services on the same domain, like talossa.com, wiki.talossa.com, heraldry.talossa.com or share.talossa.com?

This is very strange and potentially very difficult for me to fix. Do you have similar problems with accessing other services on the same domain, like talossa.com, wiki.talossa.com, heraldry.talossa.com or share.talossa.com? Every reference to talossa.com no matter how "phrased" gives rise to the same fault. I have tried http:// and https:// in front of each of the suggested talossa.com and wiki.talossa.com and heraldry.talossa.com and share.talossa.com It seems that my machine / my browsers simply don't "like" talossa.comI have tried using Safari (which is my usual browser), and Firefox and Chrome, all of which give the same result. My machine is running AVG Antivirus, but I have had no warning from that, at any time. I have performed a complete virus rescan of my computer and found no problems. Does anyone reading this have any ideas please? (and thank you, Lüc da Schir for your help so far).

I'm having zero issues. UK based, obviously. So, it's not a UK thing.

Okay, so indeed I can see a ton of "client denied by server configuration" that were spit out on the web server error log by (I assume) interactions with your client. I'm investigating that now.
