Various people (including myself) who have adopted Talossan names still have their full non-Talossan names posted on witt somewhere (outside the immigration and names boards, which cannot be seen by outsiders), mostly in petitions and bills, but in other places as well. I could I think fairly quickly do a round using the search button, fix all these and leave a quick note (not including immigration/names boards obviously). Question is, do we want this? That sounds like a reasonable thing to do, although I'd like to hear other people's input.

Virtually everyone was known by their "street" names before then. Personally, I think it smacks of a "role-playing game" attitude to Talossa; as if we're playing characters in this country. That doesn't encourage good citizenship IMHO.

While I'm trying not to make a habit out of quibbling with Miestrâ Schivâ, I must object. I have had to search for new work twice since I joined Talossa. Both times I was fortunate that my "street name" wasn't the first thing that came up when the recruiters googled me. Not everyone on the street understands Talossa, and it was better for me that I didn't have to spend any of my limited interview time explaining why I believe that part of Milwaukee is no longer in the USA. It's hard enough to get a job in my field without other questions like Talossa affecting my chances. My job isn't a role-playing game. I have five dependents depending on me. For professional reasons, I must keep my work and personal lives separate. For this reason alone, I support the project launched by Glüc da Dhi. Let's git 'er done. T

I am fortunate enough to work in an industry in which people's ramrods are generally unconcealed, so I've never had a problem with this. But I know other people have. A couple of times, when someone requested it, I changed plaintext names on Witt postings, by spelling them backwards (so that "Joe Blow" would become "oeJ wolB").
I wouldn't like to actually change the text of old posts; but spelling the text in a way that search engines won't turn it up, that seems fine to me.

Well, Talossan names are basically a different way of writing the same thing right?

I don't think real names should be available anywhere public. When I submitted my application I understood it would go to a government department, and not posted on a forum.
