My fellow Vuodeans,
All provinces deserve the best possible representation in our national parliament. I have, over the years, tried to do my very best at representing this province in the Ziu. I feel, however, that as of late my efforts have not been so good and perhaps are now bordering on non-feasance.
Vuode deserves better.
I am now working to a new schedule outside of Talossa, a schedule that will be permanent. It has been said that a Senators only duty is to show up and vote once a month; I don't think so. A Senator should provide more than that.
I could show up once a month to vote on Bills. I could manage the very minimum that the law demands. However, Vuode deserves better. You deserve better.
I have enjoyed my time as your Senator and I wish I could continue. It is now time to stand aside and allow someone with fresh energy, new ideas and enough time to commit to the job to take Vuode forward as we enter a new year of the common calendar.
I wish you all the very best and look forward to voting for my new Senator in time to come.
I hereby resign my seat in the Senate effective immediately.
Yours, as ever, for Vuode and Talossa,
The Right Honourable Éovart Grischun Minister of the Interior
Party Leader of the Peculiar Nationalist Party (PNP)
I support the idea of the “United Provinces of Maritiimi-Maxhestic, Vuode, and Dandenburg”.
